# That's the bugger that's responsible for me actually WANTING to see Happening
I saw it on a cable channel the other day and the ad breaks kept going on about Happening and showing clips from MNS talking about it.

Day after tomorrow was a reasonably good film, enjoyable, just a piss poor ending and unbearably ridiculous with the whole 'I'll survive things I'm telling everyone else you can't survive, just so I can go and 'get' my son who is no more or less safe with me there' thing
(, Mon 16 Jun 2008, 10:15, archived)
# I would have liked the film
But when I saw it I was on a plane which didn't have view on demand. So when I saw it I did so in about 4 different, non-cronological viewings.

# what's all this about?
I could look on imdb, but I have not the strength
(, Mon 16 Jun 2008, 9:52, archived)
# trees are taking revenge on humanity
by making a poison gas that makes people commit suicide in comedically gruesome ways

somehow they also control the wind, which somehow directs the poison gas rather than disspating it into the atmosphere

people run away to the forest to escape the trees

A woman headbutts a bunch of windows

the trees stop killing

the end

it's not well receieved :D

'people run away to the forest to escape the trees'
(, Mon 16 Jun 2008, 9:57, archived)
# it's ok, you can't see the forest
for all the trees

or the other way around

er, or something

# No
They tried to drive out of the danger zone but got trapped midway, it's countryside/fields, so almost as bad but not done intentionally

# Dude, it's M. Night Shaymalalan.
Thank fuck I didn't pay actual money to see it.
(, Mon 16 Jun 2008, 9:52, archived)
# well...
sixth sense was a one-trick-pony, with a twist I saw a mile off, signs was one of the most flawed movies I've ever seen, the one where Bruce Willis is a superhero thing, was only good for the scene where his son pulls a gun on him, but Village was quite good. I figured MNS was on the way up.... :P
(, Mon 16 Jun 2008, 9:55, archived)
# the only good bit in signs was the creepy mexican alien
and that wasn't that good. The Village was ok, and I did like Unbreakable, but thats probably because I'm a big superhero nerd.

I do love all the shots of waving trees in The Happening though...it's just a shame theres no "What a twist!"
(, Mon 16 Jun 2008, 9:59, archived)
# Unbreakable
was the shittiest waste of time I have ever subjected myself to. I wish I could have those two hours back.

yeah, i can't wait to NOT see this film.

Oh, a metaphor for American's being scared of fuck all, that'll be entertaining.

I could've written a better film with no eyes, hands or brain.
(, Mon 16 Jun 2008, 9:53, archived)
# Hahah, me and the missus watched that last night
I came out distinctly empty feeling

...it was pretty shite acting on the whole, made no great points of interest (except getting me reading about CCD), cleared nothing up and resembled Stephen King's 'Cell' in an alarming amount of details
(, Mon 16 Jun 2008, 9:56, archived)
# Yes mate,
