The LHC thing was funny this morning, when their spokeschap said 'well you can just see the excitement of the team here' as three people milled about an office behind him- one scowling, one yawning, one not even facing the camera. Excellent stuff.

I haven't watched that film in some time. Now it's a choice of either getting Bucket List out of the way (I know it's going to be crap but I have to see it for myself because of the Jack love) or one of the Ghostbusters films. More likely two due to the line 'Vy am I drippingz viz goo?'
(, Wed 10 Sep 2008, 9:29, archived)
# Actually, I quite enjoyed the Bucket List :)
But I'm getting pant-wettingly excited over this...
movies.yahoo.com/movie/1809961074/video/9655524

It. Just. Looks. Awesome.
(, Wed 10 Sep 2008, 9:32, archived)
# :D I should have known it'd be that.
I've heard from quite a few that the Bucket List was pure schmaltz and terrible dialogue. Was I misinformed?
(, Wed 10 Sep 2008, 9:35, archived)
# No, definitely not,
but it is ascended from the realm of the TV movie by great performances from Nicholson and Freeman, and it kind of 'works'. i mean, it's not laugh a minute, but with a plot that revolves around two terminal cancer patients, it's difficult for it to be anything other than schmaltzy at times.
(, Wed 10 Sep 2008, 9:36, archived)
# Aha, good I decided to watch it myself then.
I found a massive canvas print of the some like it hot poster on the weekend, and I couldn't justify spending £40 on it. :-( My favourite movie.
(, Wed 10 Sep 2008, 9:39, archived)
# a t'rrific movie indeed

(, Wed 10 Sep 2008, 9:43, archived)
# It'd been a little while.
It never stops being funny, Blackadder never stops being worryingly attractive (only in the 2nd) and throughout all of it I get to see wonderful, dear, lovely Nursie. Well, Bernard.
