Phobias don't have a rational reasoning behind them, as far as I'm aware, whereas fears do. What rational reason is there to be frightened of clowns? Hence why I said I can understand someone having an irrational aversion to them for no reason, whereas I can't see any rational reason for fearing a clown. Does that make more sense?

I'm ambivalent towards clowns
neither scared nor amused by them which sort of rules out the reason for their existance for me anyway. However Killer Klowns from Outer Space was hilarious and had soundtracks from The Dickies
