# have you seen a film caleld "the confederate states of america"
mockumentary positing a what if the south had won the civil war.. that has some adverts of products that actually were real.

ever since viewing I have the phrase, "It's Jiggaboo Bright!" carved in my mind.

films worth seeing for the scene where a shakespearean actor is blacked up to play a slave in a 50's movie. I was in tears.

# Sounds interesting:
erictrickster.blogspot.com/2008/07/for-shine-thats-jiggaboo-bright.html

but perhaps not surprisingly the Youtube clip seems to have been removed...

Aha: uk.youtube.com/watch?v=MH58-UN_ANM it does exist if you look for it, quite quite mad!

# Dentyl
That stuff that demands you be paranoid about oral hygiene, and adds a smooth bar singer as contrast.
I like adverts that use creepy people.

Why do people always assume that? I'm just mildly amused when I feel like lambasting someone for being selfish when posting on b3ta. It has nothing to do with me at the end of the day. I just enjoy seeing arseholes bite.

Now if you are going to do nothing but follow me around making comments that are clearly designed to get a rise out of me we shall have to part company.
(, Mon 26 Jan 2009, 20:07, archived)
# I just like b3ta to be a nice place.
Replying to your posts isn't following you around. This isn't your private board.
(, Mon 26 Jan 2009, 20:13, archived)
# no of course not.
You have given me the impression over the last few days that you are trying to get a rise out of my with your unsolicited replies in my conversations with others.
(, Mon 26 Jan 2009, 20:17, archived)
# There aren't any private conversations on /board.
I'm sorry if it didn't mention that in the faq, but there we are.
(, Mon 26 Jan 2009, 20:20, archived)
# and again.
If you are going to respond to me and expect a civil conversation then please have the courtesy not to respond to things I have not written and use that as some kind of debating tactic.
(, Mon 26 Jan 2009, 20:22, archived)
# I'm not looking for a debate.
I'm just calling you out on using /board to threaten physical violence. That's all.
(, Mon 26 Jan 2009, 20:27, archived)
# And with that you are gone because as I've been at pains to point out I have not threatened anybody with physical violence.
You are another one of these people who likes to pick words out of a paragraph and then invent a meaning that suits your argument and I find it tedious and irritating.
I've left it there by the way but feel free to respond so that others can see you making an effort.
(, Mon 26 Jan 2009, 20:30, archived)
# like this?

heheh might not actually get a rise out of anyone
(, Mon 26 Jan 2009, 20:40, archived)
# How dare you point out glaring inconsistencies in people's arguments!
Just for that, I am putting you on ignore.

ON IGNORE.
(, Mon 26 Jan 2009, 20:09, archived)
# How is that inconsistent?
I've mentioned that I'll lamp a couple of people if I meet them. It's fully justified in my opinion and I'm not being in the slightest bit angry about it.
I don't understand why people equate violence with anger. It's perfectly reasonable to teach someone some manners without getting angry about it.
(, Mon 26 Jan 2009, 20:11, archived)
# this i feel
perhaps is a product of your time in the army.
(, Mon 26 Jan 2009, 20:13, archived)
# maybe,
but it's more a result of two people going beyond the usual abuse at me and being rather hateful about my mother and my wife. I'll just make them understand that there are consequences to that kind of behaviour if the opportunity arises. It's not like I'm screaming revenge and threatening anyone. Anger is a very bad fault to have if you are going to get yourself involved in fighting of any kind.
(, Mon 26 Jan 2009, 20:16, archived)
# i meant the lack of association between violence and anger
in the army violence is/can be a job.
(, Mon 26 Jan 2009, 20:30, archived)
# I'm afraid when it comes to unprovoked violence, the law disagrees.
And besides, if you really do want to teach someone some manners, there are far more diplomatic and effective ways to do it.
(, Mon 26 Jan 2009, 20:17, archived)
# Hey we all have our ways of dealing with things.
I'm an old man, it's worked for me to date.
Trust me, 4-6 months inside for making somebody realise that they just can't say some things without dealing with it later is not something that bothers me.
(, Mon 26 Jan 2009, 20:21, archived)
