Back where I used to live, over 8 years ago, they pulled down an advertising board on a newsagents, revealing an old "Tobaconist" sign, so they left it like that. It's still there to this day.

You keep seeing bits of the past peeping out from buildings.
Ther's an old ironmongery sign still visible on the side of a building on my road.
