Draw a circle and then legs and heads and stuff. It's easy, man.
See, I think the point of b3ta is to be an unpredictable, ineffable anarchic melting pot
and these qualities have remained constant for years. There is more art around now then there used to be, and consequently fewer jokes, but I don't like jokes, and I still can't eff b3ta any more than I could back in the heady days of 2004, so everything is fine.
Actually I'm not sure the art has replaced jokes, I think the void used to be filled by a lot of Eclectech-style pictures and animations. Bouncy things with faces on. Don't see so many of those around as we used to.

Hello, Gobby
You were all nice down there. What happened? It's so confusing.

Is the art stuff
that bad? ( I don't mean in quality, some of it is unbearably poor, I know ) But does it harm b3ta that people post things that just say "I did this and I'm proud of it, what do you think?"
That's a serious question because I find myself not wanting to post much of what I do for fear of people just saying " so what, you made a picture, stop showing off."

No matter what you did
some people would slag it off. Just post what you like. Fuck 'em.

^This.
Art is where you find it. And you can find it in the strangest places on b3ta.

I think b3ta can't turn into an poncy art site.
It would be pretty much physically impossible to destroy the common thread of culture here and replace it one from Deviant Art or Worth1000.

Oh yeah, it's never going to be worth 1000 or deviantart
which is why I think "what harm can it do, a bit of arty stuff, now and again?" It's not like all of the other content is somehow valid. I do get so tired of cock on a picture in a new thread, it's not the slightest bit comical.
