# That looks nothing like my end
'Lo JPG. Rare to see you around at this time of day...

# My daytime pass has just been delivered. Hello!
Also: It's probably for the best that your end looks nothing like this...
;-)

# These are fantastic.
This one makes me think I'm looking into Darth Vader's eye sockets.

Although every time I look at it I think it would benefit from 1 more frame in the animated element of it to smooth out the action.

Ah well - way too late now :)

# Me too, I just heard the Haiti charity single...
Now if that represents just one small fraction of the suffering in the region then I will gladly make a donation to the DEC.
(, Tue 2 Feb 2010, 13:50, archived)
# Is it every bit as terrible as you would think?
My standpoint - I will start off with a donation of £100 and deduct a pound for every time I hear that song - or part thereof - over the next fortnight.

I wager that Haiti will end up owing me money.

# There's the usual dreadful gravelly howling that Cowell seems to delight in -
people who can just about reach a note but can't for the love of God sustain it. I don't know who they are - many are accomplished performers - but they're completely unsuited to this track. I couldn't stand more than a few seconds though, so it may pick up further in... or it may not... And yes, I could stomach 'Perfect Day', but not this. Or that last one he presided over, come to think of it.

# Actually, can someone kick off a facebook campaign?
Get Michael Stipe to re-release his version, all money to DEC?
(, Tue 2 Feb 2010, 14:03, archived)
# Hell yes!

I think the adopted position is start off with a £50 stake, subtract £1 every time I hear the new version, and add £5 every time I hear REM's version by way of incentive.

If there's any taste in the world I'll wind up making a decent donation to Haiti, but I suspect it'll wind up around a tenner :(
