Brilliant
My one claim to fame is that Jarvis Cocker flipped me the bird. It's not much but it made me happy.

I feed it on
toenail clippings, shavings from corns and verrucas and the blood of innocents.

The Wife
Excuse me TheWife..
The customer service department of a company I used to work for got a letter from an unhappy punter (unfortunately I don't have a copy of it any more to post up) who was complaining about his faulty computer, and throughout his letter he kept on refering to someone called 'The Wife'. Apparantly 'The Wife' needed the computer to help her learn English, since he had 'bought' her over from Malaysia and due to the 30 year age gap between himself and 'The Wife' they could no longer leave the house because the local kids taunted and abused them to the point where he had had to put metal rollers over the windows to stop them smashing the glass and taunting them before running away.
Anyway, my question is - are you 'The Wife' as featured in that letter, or just some other 'The Wife'?
ps. Apologies if I have inadvertently dragged up your painful past and posted it on a website for all to see.

Save My Pub from Closing
I went to the closing night of the Pineapple - the pub at the end of my road.
The owners sold it - on the condition that the new owners continue it as a pub - however nasty developers have got in and are turning it into flats.
Not good.
It's been in the papers, Evening Standard & Camden New Journal, and Radio4s You & Yours... And there is an email campaign to get Camden council to stick their oar in.
Please send emails to Case Officer John Davies at [email protected] saying "Please keep the Pineapple pub open... The loss of our traditional neighbourhood pub in the name of making a quick buck will have detrimental effects on the community." Or something like that.

That's why they've gone under. They should have called it the Kitten and Zeppellin. I'd have drunk there then.

They do
that down here in darkest wiltshire too.
They tore down a listed 17th century brewery and pub to makeway for a development of "cosmopolitan" town houses for the young professional! Bastards should be shot.
Maybe you could organise the next B3ta outing to the Pineapple, drink it dry and then squat until new owners can be found.

CAMPAIGN
Just a thought - I think we should have a campaign to make headperformance
(www.fsinet.or.jp/~sokaisha/rabbit/rabbit.htm)
website of the year in the nme awards.
We can then concentrate on bigger awards.
