The now traditional B3ta Christmas Market bash. In the biggest bit of the Manchester continental markets wot they have. This will feature:
(i) Glühwein
(ii) Impressive sausages
(iii) Cakes and tat
(iv) People bumping into you
(v) Rain (if previous ones are any guide)
Meet at 5.00, kids. Because it's Saturday and you can come straight from your shopping. Probably best to meet at the stall with the stupid talking moose head, as it's easiest to find, even if it's not the best. It gets crowded later and they stop serving, so I propose we move on by 8.00 and find somewhere cheaper.
Discuss the above. Change plans if necessary

Though I guess I will have been in Sheffield that weekend... Hmm. The coach WAS only £12 return.
We'll see. Unlikely.

I'm honestly considering this now. Just don't know how much trains from Stockport would be only a week in advance.

I am looking forward to going again, just as soon as I arrange a second mortgage. I met a nice American lawyer from California who represents 'growers' over there who fall foul of the law. He wanted to know where he could score.
Hope to meet some equally interesting people this time.

But bear in mind that, with the mood I'm in, I intend getting off my tits which may involve combat, being carried/dragged home, or dropping my pants, spinning in a crude ellipse, and urinating on everyone in a 10ft radius.
That and demanding we eat at Burger King.

Can you convince Kev to show his face too?
( , Thu 26 Nov 2009, 20:02, Reply)
They always fell on evenings when I was out of the country.
I think we'll need to lobby Kev into going. But if he's in the area, I'm sure he wouldn't pass up a piss up.

Though my parents have decided to grace me with a visit that day, so I'll be late. Damn.

I went to the market last night to do a bit of "market" research (lol), and selflessly tried 3 different types of gluhwein and a big sausage. It was most acceptable and I can confirm I did not get food poisoning or eaten by a bear.
The sacrifices I make for you lot......

My dad is coming up from Leicester for the weekend. Without going into the whole sob story blah blah blah, he's recently been diagnosed with early onset Alzheimers (at the age of 61) so he's on a bit of a downer.
You know I wouldn't cancel without a good reason. Have a gluhwein for me.

Sod the lot of you!

I'm really sorry to hear that, I hope your dad has a good time when he comes up to see you.
*hugs*
