Manc Xmas Market Bash!

The now traditional B3ta Christmas Market bash. In the biggest bit of the Manchester continental markets wot they have. This will feature:
(i) Glühwein
(ii) Impressive sausages
(iii) Cakes and tat
(iv) People bumping into you
(v) Rain (if previous ones are any guide)

Meet at 5.00, kids. Because it's Saturday and you can come straight from your shopping. Probably best to meet at the stall with the stupid talking moose head, as it's easiest to find, even if it's not the best. It gets crowded later and they stop serving, so I propose we move on by 8.00 and find somewhere cheaper.

Discuss the above. Change plans if necessary

There is no such place as Bristol. It doesn't exist, same as Wales.

Still in London bbz

Though I guess I will have been in Sheffield that weekend... Hmm. The coach WAS only £12 return.

We'll see. Unlikely.

Boooooooo!

Call yourself a Manc?

(, Wed 25 Nov 2009, 22:14, Reply)
I'm sorry!

I'm honestly considering this now. Just don't know how much trains from Stockport would be only a week in advance.

(, Wed 25 Nov 2009, 22:18, Reply)
Meh.

You're coming, you Spartan lady you. Final.

(, Thu 26 Nov 2009, 10:04, Reply)
I have already been to the Christmas Markets once

I am looking forward to going again, just as soon as I arrange a second mortgage. I met a nice American lawyer from California who represents 'growers' over there who fall foul of the law. He wanted to know where he could score.

Hope to meet some equally interesting people this time.

(, Wed 25 Nov 2009, 22:16, Reply)
I'll be there

But bear in mind that, with the mood I'm in, I intend getting off my tits which may involve combat, being carried/dragged home, or dropping my pants, spinning in a crude ellipse, and urinating on everyone in a 10ft radius.

That and demanding we eat at Burger King.

(, Thu 26 Nov 2009, 2:05, Reply)
Well as long as you don't spend all of the next day

being sick, that's fine.

(, Thu 26 Nov 2009, 9:05, Reply)

Can I join? I've still not entirely got over the October '08 bash...

(, Thu 26 Nov 2009, 21:57, Reply)
I'll drag you kicking and screaming

as long as I can kip on your floor afterward.

But I'm not dropping your pants again.

(, Thu 26 Nov 2009, 18:44, Reply)
Finally we shall meet!

Can you convince Kev to show his face too?

(, Thu 26 Nov 2009, 20:02, Reply)
Yes! I've not been avoiding you, honest!

They always fell on evenings when I was out of the country.

I think we'll need to lobby Kev into going. But if he's in the area, I'm sure he wouldn't pass up a piss up.

(, Thu 26 Nov 2009, 23:11, Reply)
I caught him on XBox and he's going to see if he can come

Woo Hoo! It could be the entire staff of Blue Nun Fillums and Tony Hadley Productions going :)

(, Tue 1 Dec 2009, 10:20, Reply)
Well you won't have to carry me home this time.

I can't come : (

(, Thu 26 Nov 2009, 10:07, Reply)

(, Fri 27 Nov 2009, 15:49, Reply)
You will be pleased to hear

I went to the market last night to do a bit of "market" research (lol), and selflessly tried 3 different types of gluhwein and a big sausage. It was most acceptable and I can confirm I did not get food poisoning or eaten by a bear.

The sacrifices I make for you lot......

(, Fri 27 Nov 2009, 9:01, Reply)
You also got hideously drunk

I am impressed!

(, Fri 27 Nov 2009, 9:57, Reply)
An acceptable big sausage...

Hmmm...

(, Fri 27 Nov 2009, 11:46, Reply)
Sorry chaps I'm going to have to cancel

My dad is coming up from Leicester for the weekend. Without going into the whole sob story blah blah blah, he's recently been diagnosed with early onset Alzheimers (at the age of 61) so he's on a bit of a downer.

You know I wouldn't cancel without a good reason. Have a gluhwein for me.

(, Sat 28 Nov 2009, 17:49, Reply)
:(

Understandable. Will have to meet you at the next one!

(, Mon 30 Nov 2009, 17:58, Reply)
Well I'm glad you're sad

No-one else is bothered. NO-ONE.

Sod the lot of you!
