Official Summer Bash/Housewarming/Wicca'd Witches Birthday Party to end all Parties

It will be another housewarming/birthday bash, only we will be celebrating my 29th birthday. Well, the bash is on the 26th August, and my birthday isn't till the 10th September, but I don't want to have two bashes, and it always fucking rains on my birthday.

There will be booze, musics, and a Guitar Hero/Singstar face off late at night.

Anyone who can play a musical instrument must bring it. We know a few people who are in bands and stuff so we should be able to have a good night of spontaneous musical delight with a good mix for indie/rock/metal and folky stuff.

We have some floorspace, but there are plenty of little B&B's about in Long Melford, Lavenham and the surrounding area. There are also a couple of very nice (and possibly a little pricy) hotels.

Bloody yes,

can I steal crash space (possibly for two) please?

*loves in the face*

There's a bed/futon/bit of floor with your name on it

you lovely, filthy, dirty whore.

(, Tue 23 May 2006, 10:19, Reply)
Filth? There's filth?

*signs up*

may have to pull out* as I have a nagging feeling I'm doing someting else, but still...

*and spuff over norks

I will be returning to the Londons at some point on the Sunday, there are currently three spaces in my car, so if you need a lift back to London I can drop people at Stratford station. Prod me on the board or MSN :)

Our house number is no 18, it's a yellow terrace and you have to come in round the back.

How rude of you...

*points and laughs*

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

*does the 'I'm younger than you' dance*

Can't you come and celebrate with us anyway?

/selfish

(, Thu 25 May 2006, 12:41, Reply)
Bah....

and no...only because I'm so damn irresistable and Badger will try sticking his finger up my arse again.

(, Tue 30 May 2006, 0:13, Reply)
I want to come.

If I can manage to convince my parents that the internet is not full of paedophiles, then I'll see if I can.
If I can, can I nick some floor space? I'm ever so ikkle*

*might actually be about 6ft tall

(, Wed 31 May 2006, 15:11, Reply)
Of course you can...

and your mum is quite welcome to phone us, check that we are sane and even visit us beforehand. We'll do our best to hide the torture dungeon.

Badger has a CRD thingy to say he is definitely not a kiddie-fiddler if it helps ;)

(, Thu 1 Jun 2006, 9:05, Reply)
It's looking likely!

(, Thu 8 Jun 2006, 22:11, Reply)
I will come to this,

wallet-permitting. It depends how much work I can get over summer...

(, Fri 2 Jun 2006, 23:19, Reply)
If I can make this

I will turn up. Could I possibly bagsy floor space? I shall practise on my guitar for the occasion (can only play one song...)

(, Sat 3 Jun 2006, 22:55, Reply)
You can, if you are happy to sleep where you land ;)

(, Sun 4 Jun 2006, 16:16, Reply)
where abouts

in manchester is your house?

(, Wed 7 Jun 2006, 19:59, Reply)
Er...I moved to Suffolk about 6 months ago...

so my house is not in manchester.

I can tell you where I used to live, if you want to stage a lonely vigil outside my old front door?

/Is actually Wicca'd

(, Sun 11 Jun 2006, 9:52, Reply)
I may trundle down if I can

(, Thu 8 Jun 2006, 10:46, Reply)
Well I'd like to come if you'll have me

If it's just me then I'll bring Bombay Sapphire, if the good Capt'n can make it as well it will be with a keyboard. Anyone from Cambridge need a lift? Do you have a garden to pitch a small tent in? If H-B can't make it, I won't be able to drink and that would be a shame.

(, Fri 9 Jun 2006, 14:35, Reply)
TEH QUESTIONS

And H-B is welcome to pitch a tent neat me anyday.

(, Sun 11 Jun 2006, 22:04, Reply)
He'll just dig a hole under some undergrowth

/old habits and all that.
He doesn't drink, so if he comes I'll get a lift back never mind how drunk I am. If he can't make it though, it means I have to lay off the booze, which would be a shame.

(, Mon 12 Jun 2006, 22:44, Reply)
Then you shall stay with us.

Then you can drink all the Gin.

(, Tue 13 Jun 2006, 11:45, Reply)
Woo Hoo!

Thanks, I'll be there then.

(, Tue 13 Jun 2006, 15:48, Reply)
This is a good plan actually

do you have tent space?

(, Tue 13 Jun 2006, 14:09, Reply)
We have a small amount of tent space available.

Quite small. Probably for one or two (small) tents. You might want to try to crash somewhere in the house...

There will be a gazebo thingy outside, but there is a reasonable camping facilities in Cornard (which is nearby).

(, Tue 13 Jun 2006, 21:34, Reply)
I thought I'd already said yes to this ...

oh, and what Fenris said.

(, Tue 13 Jun 2006, 14:13, Reply)
Oooh, I might need a lift if there's one going please.

(, Sun 16 Jul 2006, 23:52, Reply)
What Eatsy said

I'd love to come, but its hard to convince my parents that there are actually some lovey, maybe a bit fucked up, but in a good way, nice people in the world on the internet.

Live in the north east, have not transport and no money. If theres floor psace it would be great, if not, ill get a b+b

Play the viola and piano rather badly but after a few drinks I bet I rock at superstar!

EDIT Ohoh oh I have a tent!

(, Wed 14 Jun 2006, 19:10, Reply)
Where abouts in the NE are you?

I may come to this, and so may be able to give you a lift

(, Tue 15 Aug 2006, 21:02, Reply)
I think I will be able to go to this

Yay!

Where's a good place to stay nearby?

(, Sun 9 Jul 2006, 10:13, Reply)
I provided INRBM with a list

and I also have a few clients that run B&B's.

I shall update the calender with a list - keep checking back!

(, Sun 9 Jul 2006, 22:13, Reply)

(, Mon 10 Jul 2006, 22:36, Reply)
what with living nearby, i suppose i'd better come

EDIT: NOW CONFIRMED COMING. CURRENTLY 2 SPACES IN MY CAR FROM IPS. STATION AVAILABLE!
(, Fri 14 Jul 2006, 15:46, Reply)
May be able to come. Depends on how much it is on the train to your part of Suffolk.

Or if anyone's driving down through Birmingham and could pick me up, that'd be grand.
I'd probably need floorspace, though, if there's any going? I'd bring beer though :)
Edit: Doesn't appear to be a train station nearby, as far as I can see on the map. How much is the taxi from the nearest one, if you know?

(, Sun 16 Jul 2006, 21:59, Reply)
I have no idea,

but you might be able to get a bus.

Our nearest train station is Sudbury, or Bury St Edmunds.

(, Sun 16 Jul 2006, 23:40, Reply)
Don't know if you saw my reply on the board

but if you can get to Ely from Birmingham, we can take you with us.

(, Tue 18 Jul 2006, 20:51, Reply)
That'd be fantastic. I just need to check with commitments and money

But that sounds fantastic, thank you very much.

(, Thu 20 Jul 2006, 9:30, Reply)
This is the weekend

before my brother's birthday, so it's possible I may have to do family things that don't involve nearly as much bumsex.
I hope I'll be able to make it, though.

(, Fri 21 Jul 2006, 13:34, Reply)
If anyone has transport issues

and can get to Ipswich train station, then i can pick you up - maximum of 4 people, 3 if anyone i pick up is a fatty

/small car blog

(, Fri 21 Jul 2006, 15:30, Reply)

(, Mon 24 Jul 2006, 9:44, Reply)
We'll make sure he does.

I think the car is full now unless anyone drops out, me, H-B, piston_broke, falligdownjoe and Shambles. I'm hoping to find time to do a bumcake too.

(, Thu 27 Jul 2006, 21:44, Reply)
If people are looking for accomodation

Denmark House and High Street Farm House are both full.

(, Fri 28 Jul 2006, 9:51, Reply)
It's because Suffolk is so fucking ace.

Our house is going to be full of a mixture of nurses, Real LifeTM friends, and internet geeks. Overnight. If you don't pull, you should be VERY ashamed of yourself.

(, Fri 28 Jul 2006, 11:40, Reply)
I'm definitely coming now, WW.

Just realised I hadn't asked though, but would I be able to curl up in a corner at yours somewhere?

(, Fri 28 Jul 2006, 13:33, Reply)
Shouldn't be a problem, but don't expect comfort

it'll probably be a bit of floor :)

(, Fri 28 Jul 2006, 14:06, Reply)
Urgh

Somewhat ironically, the day after I sign up for this I get a phone call from my aunt inviting me down to Kent for her Silver Wedding anniversary on the same evening. I told her I already had plans to get riotously drunk, but they wouldn't wash. Much like her husband.
So I can't come, sorry. Thanks to Mrs Hood-Butter as well for the offer of a lift.

(, Mon 31 Jul 2006, 14:36, Reply)
as i promised i'd come

i have finally put my name down
and i hope the offer of floor space still exists

(, Sun 6 Aug 2006, 19:26, Reply)

There is a mini-bit left - I can't promise you comfort though.

(, Wed 16 Aug 2006, 9:00, Reply)

cheers

(, Thu 17 Aug 2006, 21:09, Reply)
Our plans are at an ADVANCED stage.

I can't bring my drums on the train from Brighton, but I am bringing Pootle, who you can twang like a one string bass.

(, Thu 24 Aug 2006, 20:19, Reply)
I thought why not!
