See the cathedral! Taunt the goths! Get hopelessly lost in the city centre!
Rub yourself with burgers and make shockingly non-PC jokes about Fred West's oozing viscera!
Alternatively, you can sit out in the sunshine1 and get pissed with some b3tans.
Also, if you've never been to an OMGBASH before, you can use this opportunity to find out how many of us really are spotty virginal internet fatties.2
WHERE IS IT?
Wakefield of course - more precisely in the suburb of Sandal, as I'm pretty sure Mad Max was filmed in the city centre on a Saturday night.
If you don't know where or what Wakefield is: it's a small city in Yorkshire, in between Leeds and Sheffield (closer to Leeds.) It's on all of the railway lines running between these two cities, the eastern branch of the Spotty Virgin Voyager line (which runs between Penzance and Glasgow), and the London King's Cross-Leeds line. It's also not far from Junction 40 of the M1 and Junction 30 of the M62, so it's very accessible however you choose to get there. Except if you're flying, then it's about 25 miles from both the nearest airports.
HOW TO GET THERE
Train: the nearest station to the pub is Sandal and Agbrigg, about 5-10 mins' walk away. You can get there directly from Leeds (18 mins), Sheffield (40 mins) or Doncaster (25 mins). People coming from more exotic destinations will have to change at Wakefield Westgate (3 mins), take the bus or walk, which leads us neatly on to -
Bus: The 59, 59A, 59B, 110, 195, 196, 444, 447, 448 and X41 services stop in Sandal, right outside the pub. The 110 , 444, 447 and 448 buses can be caught in Leeds. Note that if you are going by bus, you will need to specify The Castle pub as your destination, or else you'll wind up in Sandal Castle; while it is of some historical interest, I do not believe it carries a license to sell alcohol.
On the road: follow the signs for the A61 towards Barnsley, and go down it. The Castle is 30 mins walking or five minutes driving from the city centre. I don't know offhand how much a taxi costs, but it shouldn't be much.
ACCOMMODATION
I live near Normanton (five miles away) and have room for up to 4 people on the floor and a narrow but comfortable sofa. Breakfast will be provided c/o yours truly and anyone else willing and able to cook (or failing that there is a food-serving pub 15 minutes' walk from my house.)
Current occupancy: Sofa - [none] / Floor - [none], [none], [none], [none]
There are at least three other local b3tans I know of (one of whom lives a lot closer to The Castle than I do), who may or may not offer floorspace of their own - watch this space for details.
UPDATE: Jenpots is offering some space - see below for details.
If you're staying at mine, please bear in mind three things:
1. You will most likely want to dump your stuff in my house a while before we set out to the pub (which we will do at about 2.40pm.) Gaz me if you plan to do this, and I can provide information on how to get there. If that's not possible, you can meet us at the pub and lug your stuff around till we get back - Gaz me anyway just so I can get an idea of how many people will be staying over.
2. For the return journey, please set aside a bit of money for the taxi (likely to be £10-15).
Alternatively if you don't fancy crashing out for free in Les Chateaux du Local B3tans, there are a number of Travelodges etc. just off the M1 and M62, and quite a few hotels scattered around the area - consult Lastminute.com or somewhere similar for details.
ANYTHING ELSE?
No, I think that's it. As with my previous 0MGB4SH3Z, anyone's welcome as long as they're not likely to get us chucked out, and they're not a cunt.
1 Weather conditions on this particular date not guaranteed.
2 I doubt whether either of the REALLY spotty virgins will be attending.

My niece is having her third birthday party, so I'll be surrounded by incessant whinging, screeching and dribbling.
Sounds almost like a bash anyway!

No idea what the situation will be like with me starting uni, etc. I might be otherwise engaged (probably not though). If I'm not, I'll be there.
