Because I called Naga Munchetty a cunt? Seems like a bit of a reach.

is evidence of misogyny, it suggests that you recognise on some level that whatever she claims about her identity, she 1: remains female and 2: has an existence that is impacted by being female.
Which, as far as I can tell, means that you agree that the concept of non-binary has no tangible meaning.

I'll check out how that works. Looks handy.
Unfortunately, once allowed to see the full article, I found I wasn't interested in reading it.

The ideal kind of superwoke cause for virtue signalling wankers such as yourself to cream your pants over, though. So I can't really blame you for getting triggered. You probably quite enjoy it.
Come down off your high horse for just a moment and look at these bellends. Just look at them. If my disdain for these wet wipes outs me as a bigot, then I'm a bigot.

What reaction were you hoping for when you shared this link and described it as you did?
Why do you want people to think you're a bigot?
Don't you feel ashamed?
( , Tue 27 Sep 2022, 14:43, Reply)

I suspect there's something else riding the wave of shame that services some deeper, darker need. Some parasitic ideology that conjures this radical fearful fantasy that you exist in.
I promise you that non-binary people don't wish you any harm, and whatever colour they choose to dye their hair will not affect you one way or another. Affording rights and liberty to people who identify as non binary does you no harm. Elevating their status does not diminish yours.

Impressive stuff.

I'm not entirely sure that shame is an emotion that most mentally healthy people would be overly familiar with.
I shat myself at school once, does that count?
Disproportionate feelings of shame would certainly account for your incessant shadow projection and compulsive desire to let everyone know how woke and virtuous you are. Is that what's going on here, Birb? Are you struggling?
( , Tue 27 Sep 2022, 18:17, Reply)

Just to confirm, are you saying that you're not burdened by shame?
You should feel shame and regret, because that would be a mentally and emotionally healthy response to the shameful and regretful things you say and do.
I wonder which emotion you have a disproportionate abundance of that compels you to be an online bigot?
It is genuinely interesting trying to work out how your mind works. Thanks for the insight.

A lot more than can be said about you, eh?
( , Tue 27 Sep 2022, 21:28, Reply)

Oh mate.
“Non binary” is an invented category with no tangible criteria for membership. There are no rights that a person currently loses when they declare themselves to be non-binary. What you’re actually discussing is the idea that you expect people to share the belief that some people who are unambiguously male, or unambiguously female, actually are neither, because if something they believe about themselves. Maintaining that that belief has no material basis, and is based on sexist ideas, is not hatred or oppression.

As orchid is bollock, gonad is either.

One ovary isn't as funny as one ball though.
Triorchidism would get you laid more, purely out of curiosity and for those with medical tastes, felt up by endless clinicians due to rarity.

seems to come with the territory. I wouldn't take any of their opinions too seriously, hopefully her acting justifies the self-absorption of fussing about identities that most of us never bother about as we live our lives

The pace of the episode felt a bit slower than the previous five, but I think this was mostly down to establishing the passing of time and introducing the new characters.
I certainly don't disagree that she's very good at impersonating a woman.

in the original series, I thought the taergaryan plot lines were the least interesting, relying more on fantasy tropes, while the lannister stark storyline was grounded in a more authentic and adult medieval source material. plus it had a lot of tits in the first couple of seasons
( , Tue 27 Sep 2022, 17:05, Reply)

This is much, much more Lannister/Stark than I expected it to be. There *are* dragons (somewhat unavoidably), but besides that there has been practically zero fantastical content. There has been absolutely no sign of magic or monsters (besides dragons) or any of the nonsense that ruined the last 3-4 seasons of GoT.
For now, at least, it's basically just the West(eros) Wing. Lol.
If I have one criticism, it's that I feel that Paddy Considine was miscast. It's the only thing I haven't enjoyed him in, but he just feels a bit doddery and soft. His performance is still significantly stronger than anything that The Rings of Power has to offer. The Rings of Power is absolutely fucking dreadful.
( , Tue 27 Sep 2022, 18:10, Reply)

I think he's well cast, given that he's supposed to be playing a weak king and all that. Matt Smith is close to ruining it for me though as I can't stand the guy.
None of the other characters have really stood out so far, which given that they're about halfway through the season now is a bit of a problem.
( , Tue 27 Sep 2022, 19:35, Reply)

But I'm sort of okay with him now. You do make a fair point about the lack of stand out characters, though. I hadn't really thought about it due to the story being so strong as a whole. I would have loved to have seen more of Rhaenys, but that's just because I fucking love Eve Best.
I'm certainly more than satisfied with the series so far, though!

…is the internalised misogyny of being a woman who declares herself not to be a woman on the basis of
* clearly believing that “woman” refers to a set of acceptable traits for female people to possess
*believing that as she doesn’t adhere to those traits or expectations, she isn’t actually a woman
Which then has the effect of logically implying that those woman who *dont* declare themselves not to be women must therefore be to some degree accepting that the traits considered appropriate for woman are valid as criteria for the category.
It’s bizarre to me how many ostensible progressives haven’t ever thought through the sexism inherent to the idea that “man” and “women” describe clusters of personality traits and aesthetic presentation, rather than being neutral facts
