This is a normal post says someone living in a country where a child just died with measles

This is a normal post The one in the UK? Second measles death in five years.
Or the one a few months ago in the U.S., one of three deaths so far this year?

This is a normal post Yeah, I wasn't intending to make a direct comparison because the situation is worse there.
My only point is that we're not really in much of a position to affect superiority (not that garold was, I'm sure) because the direction of travel is depressing here too.

This is a normal post Or the 13.5 percent of U.S. households that were food insecure at some time during 2023
I'd prefer to live in the country where one kid dies from measles than the one where a good chunk literally can't afford food (or medical treatment)

This is a normal post I don't doubt it
but I stand by what I said as a preference.

This is a normal post Probably won't be
just one kid for long. Antivax fuckwits are growing in number everywhere.

This is a normal post Very sad for immune suppressed people.
As for the rest, think of it as a gullibility cull.
I was just reading today about frontal lobe deficiencies, cited as a cause of rigidity and lack of critical thinking in fundies.

This is a normal post It would be nice to think of it as just a problem for anti-vaxxers
But low vaccine uptake results in a failure of herd immunity and a much higher infection rate. If vaccines guaranteed protection that would be fine, but they don't. It also seems reasonable to assume that higher infection rates would result in higher mutation rates and faster evolution of vaccine-resistant strains.

This is a normal post I know, I know, wishful thinking on my part.

This is a normal post Well,it's hardly the kids' fault if they have thick parents,
and you don't get the vaccine for a year, so no kids are safe unless there's a good take-up rate.

This is a normal post I'd forgotten about the delay in giving it.
I'm pretty sure I was one of the kids who didn't get it, subsequently getting measles and rubella.

This is a normal post I'm waiting for the next time the anti-vax cunts set up stall in Manchester's Piccadilly Gardens...
I've got plans...

This is a normal post That's rather ironic, don't you think?
That they are growing in number, that is

This is a normal post I'd rather my kids have measles than autism.

This is a normal post My dad used this argument
Was kind of undermined by learning at that moment that his grandson was autistic, and that the family would rather have him that way than dead from measels.

This is a normal post Plague aside, if you get rid of your gardeners and don't maintain them yourself then don't be surprised if the rats move in
