This is a normal post I can sympathise.
But doesn't he look like a young version of Mehdi Sadaghdar (a.k.a. ElectroBOOM) in the preview picture?

This is a normal post Ah yes, the exact moment that rock music went to absolute shit.

This is a normal post Y’know, the thing about the singer from Alien Ant Farm,
he’s got lifeless eyes, black eyes, like a doll’s eyes. When he comes after ya, he doesn’t seem to be livin’ until he bites ya, and those black eyes roll over white.

This is a normal post Hmmm...
I think that might have happened around the Glam and Hair eras.

This is a normal post All musics sound the same.

This is a normal post Well...
All musics sound of music, just as all gins taste of gin.

All human music is confined to the human audio frequency range, which is a very narrow slice of the frequencies transmissible through Earth's air, so to that extent all music conforms to a range of common frequencies.

To a species with a differently evolved ear (perhaps with a wider/narrower slice of AF that doesn't fully overlap with ours), all human music may sound very similar. It might sound very different to music composed on a world with a radically different atmospheric composition affecting pitch, and the ways different frequencies propagate/radiate.

This is a normal post But my main point was that Alvin Stardust and Bon Jovi were worse than Alien Ant Farm.

This is a normal post I'm not going to bother reading ant of that,
will just say that all modern music jumped the shark when Robert Johnson sold his soul to the Devil.

This is a normal post Well I'm going to pretend to not read your posts too then.

This is a normal post You have me wrong, and not for the first time.
I'm genuinely scrolling past that particular wall of text without looking at it.

This is a normal post Yes, in 2013.
The first successful attempt since 1976. Quite an achievement for China.

This is a normal post The 00s always struck me as a bit of a musically vacant decade.
Compared to the distinct identities of the 60s/70s/80s/90s, the 00s feels like a patchwork of pastiche and recycled styles lacking the long-term resonance that defined earlier eras.

I say that as someone who came of age during the the decade.

Maybe Gen Alpha will start referencing Mr Brightside and have 00s nights in 10 years and I'll be proven wrong.

Have you forgotten, Pink, Katy Perry and Taylor Swift?

I know I’m trying to.

This is a normal post I saw Katy Perry's Glastonbury show a few years back,
it was unexpectedly very good. Everything else about her is maximum cringe (the space flight, the Musk-fangirling, marrying Russell fucking Brand) but she can sing and knows how to put on a show, which is her job.

This is a normal post Managing for this species is vital for its success, but to do so there must be an understanding of the species' characteristics.
It is endemic to a small portion of Tennessee in the Elk River and West Hickory Creek in the Cumberland River drainage. The life span is very short, living up to only 3 years. In many cases the majority of the population does not even reach that age. Most adult males are eaten by birds because of their bright coloration during breeding season.

This is a normal post I had a similar experience with Kelis back in the mid '00s at Rock Ness.
Just sort of stumbled into her set, having had no previous interest in her whatsoever. She was bloody brilliant, though.

This is a normal post I remember Simon Reynolds' book Retromania
arguing something similar, but half his examples just made me realise that what new technology defined the time was access to all music ever, plus people being able to easily make and publish from home. That level of reflection was new. And as quickly as we burnt through things like mashups, they were novel for a while.

The charts did die, however.
