From the same guy who brought you "The U.K. explained". I've no doubt
that some B3tans will have harsh thoughts (& possibly opinions) on this one but I still found it interesting viewing.

how about he presents the other side of the coin, like money from tourism? I think that may just dwarf that 40 million...
I don't have any time for some of the royals, but the Queen is an important symbol for this nation.
In any case, I don't need a whiny American to tell me about our own royal family.

This has not changed my opinion, but it is very interesting :)

Taking the 40 million figure at face value, then it went downhill from there....

It is a matter of public record.

do not include a large proportion of the costs associated with the royals. Most significantly policing and security.

I'm sure a few anti-royalists know this stuff, so why are they still against the queen?

and ignore most of the history of the monarchy you can come up with a pretty convincing argument for them.

It's the fawning deference of the fucking sheep in this country who bow and scrape before their "betters". Apparently a 28 year old woman of priviledged background, who has done precisely sod-all for me or anyone I know is now a national treasure for fucks sake

it's about subservience to a class/status authoritarian establishment that is a cancer and parasite on humanity

Americans seem to love the royals these days more than we do - if the sickly news coverage is anything to go by. They seem to have forgotten their history a bit...
"It's still their land"
And how did they acquire that land?
