One of the B3ta team danced on stage at the Brixton Academy dressed as an enormous white rabbit, and lived to tell the tale. Confess the stuff – good or bad - you've done anonymously.

Pay and Display
Whenever I return to my car when I've parked at a Pay and Display car park and find I still have a couple of hours left on the ticket I go and stick it to the machine so somebody else can find it and then not have to buy a ticket. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside to think this anonymous act may have saved someone a couple of quid and brightened their day a bit.

That is excellent
I sometimes give mine to someone, but I think sticking it on the machine is a good idea.
*clicks to distract you from me nicking your idea

I have frequently
had folk approach me as I get back to the car and offer to pay me for unused portions of my ticket. I usually wave away the payment and give them the ticket (I feel that if they have asked then they deserve it for the effort of having asked). This doesnt work in places where you have to enter your Reg No before buying a ticket tho. Anything to stop the council from getting paid twice for the same car parking slot.

My mother once offered her used ticket
to a man standing in front of the ticket machine. Sadly she had neglected to notice he was in fact the traffic warden. He turned around with a stony face and replied "Madam, did you know that's illegal?".

truly marvelous
restores my faith in humanity - and our common dislike of this heinous practice.
Happens very, very frequently in my town, as the car parks were free until a few years back. And they wonder why the town centre is dying a death.
Well done you....keep up the good work and have a click.

I do that constantly, but
have had at least three knockbacks from people who look at you like you've just asked them to help you knock over the local bank.
People (as The Doors noted) are strange.

That's funny
Cos every time I pass a pay and display machine with a ticket stuck to it, I burn the ticket and stamp on the ashes, while laughing.

Yep.
A few years back, when my father had to spend a while in hospital, we would do that: either offer the ticket to someone approaching the machine, or leave it stuck on there. Quite a few times we were offered one with a couple of hours left on it, or found one on the machine. It's extremely nice to do, especially as NHS carparks are hideously expensive.
