i would like to see more titties on /board.
as mod i could effectively say the www.b3ta.com/board would have up to 78% more titties. maybe more. not sure.

I think a [citation needed] button would work very well in QOTW.
You could probably set it up to look for key words and phrases like 'I have apsergers', 'not me, but a friend' and 'I knew a girl' too.

Or an all you can eat Chinese buffet.
I like Opal Fruits.

I can ignore myself
this puzzles me, or is it a button for the emos so they can hate themselves with true vigour?

can we have a dedicated board for Comedy At The George?
so all the hilarious exploits of half a dozen people in a pub two hundred and fifty miles away from me can be collected in one convenient location, perhaps with its own dedicated RSS feed that I won't bother reading?

that'd be just great

Make the FP column allow images wider than 280.
No one uses 800x600 anymore!

Mine gets cut off.

If so, can they be bigger please?

i'm pretty sure there is a bug in the links board code
*every* single youtube video will not play. "this video has been removed" but of course they have not and they are all embeddable. this has been the case for a year or so. this has been the case before and after a complete os reinstall. mac/firefox. i have emailed youtube about this before and got the "these videos have been removed" line. which is not true.

anyone else have this problem ?

There should be a "baldmonkey page"
where people can just see all the great things I've said without all the shit between.
It should be the front page.
And I should receive a salary.
And get a go on Spangolin.

I'm sure you get pestered for this all the time.
Why can't QoTW posts have normal replies, like /talk and /board?

It would give the QoTW people the community they deserve.

edit: This isn't to suggest that they don't have a community already - I for one, would use QoTW a lot more if it were more user friendly.

i would dearly love it
if it were possible that ignored users didn't appear on the popular page

but i have no idea if that's a ridiculously complicated thing to achieve

Lucanus cervus
I'm rather fond of this particualr one: It's the best-known species of stag beetle (family Lucanidae), and is sometimes referred to simply as the stag beetle. It lives in holes in old trees and dead trunks, in the forest as well as in groves. Forest management, in eliminating old trees and deadwood, eliminates at the same time the habitat and food of this species. Once quite common, the population of the Lucanus cervus, along with that of other species of beetles which feed on wood, is in steep decline, and is now listed as a globally threatened/declining species.

A cheeky little fellow but a bit boring... Perhaps you could "pimp" one for me and add a nice LCD-screen feature?

Tah everso much.

Now this page is being used abit more, I'll 're-suggest' something.
A Tutorials section

We have an FAQ, which is great, but for some techno-numpties (I fully include myself in this) sometimes seeing the words 'html code' can strike fear into the heart of any grown man who isn't fully internet savvy.

To add to this, sometimes when the /board gets a bit heated there's lots of 'FAQ/Optimise it/Use scanlines/make it a gif'* (delete as applicable)

- which some new users (and a fair few of the old ones) may not know how to do.

Basically, it's a suggestion for a 'one stop tutorial shop' on the site, where helpful advice could be put up for reference. Many fine b3tans have produced tutorials for optimising, scanlines, illustration and photoshopping techniques and time saving ways of using image software, so it would be nice to have that on the site as a 'one stop resource' for all to use and get helpful info. from.

You would probably find a fair few people willing to lend a hand producing tutorials and guides for a range of things. In fact, set out some template pages which we could use, and make an image challenge of it. Helpful to all, and with piccies (maybe incorporating some unique b3ta humour into it as well!). The most popular in terms of info, guidance and being able to be 'easy to understand' then go in a new and improved tutorials sections, and which self-respecting b3tan wouldn't kill for a place in a new section of b3ta?

Obviously if people are intending to post reasonably big tutorials as part of any image challenge, then maybe a word about making a thumbnail and linking to it, and how to do it, wouldn't go amiss either :)

Can you set up a filter on /talk which doesn't allow people to post along the lines of:
"Someone please help me find an image
I saw it on B3ta a while ago - it was hilarious." and instead sends BAD-ELECTRICS down their internet which fry them and leave the words "fuck off" burned backwards on their forehead ready for the next time they look in a mirror?

Can we have b3ta podcasts to replace the radio show, they could be weekly
and include a reading out of the best qotw answers, stories etc. and (my personal favourite idea) guest appearance by b3tan and "internet cunt" Dr Ashens from youtube every week.

YouTube full screen
YouTube embeds now support full screen mode by adding fs=1 to the url and the allowfullscreen parameter.
Could we have this enabled on the links board please?

Request from an Opera Mini user
I browse almost exclusively on Opera Mini... it has its limitations but generally it beats the tits off any built-in browser.

Anyway, could we have an "I like this!" checkbox in QOTW replies, like on /board? I was surprised not to see one on there, and having one would save three page browses.

Just a minor request. As I said, I was suprised not to see the checkbox already there.

Ta!

Right.
I know that this has been mentioned umpteen times already, but can we PLEASE have QOTW posting information in our profiles so that I stop getting told I'm a lurker when I post somewhere else?

Pretty please?

Can we have /currentaffairs
so that people can discuss the Olympics, World Cup or whatever event is on without cluttering /talk up with it?

Does anyone remember..
..those dome shaped buldings at theme parks, that had a massive cinema screen inside showing 10/15 minute footage from cameras attached to helicopters (I assume), so that the people staring up at the screen would think they were flying around the niagra falls and the like? They were ace. Is there anything like that on the internet? Just did a search and couldn't come up with anything - just a load of free flight simulators which I'm not interested in.
