If you make a call, you can't hear the other person unless you're in the soundproof chamber where they test Bang & Olufsen microphones. Which is a bit shit for a phone.

Oh, and it runs an outmoded version of Android. Imagine buying a new 'Windows laptop" from a big name like Dell or Compaq and it turns out it's running Windows XP.

In fact, I'm going to put this in Top Tips. If I can pursuade one other person from getting one, I will be happier.

Edit: and I'm not happy that SE have hard-wired their own media player into it which you can't fucking uninstall.

Vista and 7 seem to have gone in the opposite direction to every other release. They're getting more difficult for Bill Gates Mom to use.

I'm not a technophobe by any means, I am well trained and qualified for various computer systems (mainly Windows), but I hate the fidliness and obscurity of Win V/7. It's far harder to show other people how it works too, so it's not just my personal opinion.

I'll put this out for flaming - I use OSX a lot of the time too, and it's easier to use than Win 7.

And I'm more than happy with it. And I have Tasker working without issue.

I had a similar hellish time with the Satio
Went through three handsets, and the third one went off for repair.
It was clearly shite, but Vodafone refused to take it back and let me get a different handset.

So i flogged it to mazuma and got myself a perfectly good Samsung PAAYG phone for a fraction fo the cost.

Shame, cos the Satio did have a cracking camera in it. But I'll never have a sony phone again

XDA-developers.com, find your phone and read stuff. It'll tell you how to root and upgrade your phone. Android is totally updateable.

I have a G1, the first Android phone. I've had it for 18 months and it's running Android 2.1 cos I've updated it from 1.4 all the way up and I'm taking it up to 2.2 soon. Don't be such a whingy wuss.
