I never want to purchase an Apple product
So early last year I ordered a cheapo Android tablet off of eBay thinking that I could do something with it, make it usable...

I found one caled an APad, made my order and it turned up a few days later. It arrived in a white box with the Internet Explorer logo splashed all over the front with the name "ePad". I opened the box to discover something that looked like it had been packed in a hurry, the pad was in okay, but the instruction manual looked like it had been sat on, and the power lead was tangled to buggeration.

All of this I could of put up with if it could fill the following requirements, 1. Plays porn, 2. Plays music, neither of which it could do and to cap it off the device was literally falling apart and I could see all the cheap circuitry inside, it was basically a mobile phone with a bigger screen attached to it.

I sent it back and got a full refund, but still refuse to buy an iPad. Go me!

I use my ipad to;

Browse the web of an evening. It’s lighter, cooler, silent, quicker to start and more pickupable / putdownable than a laptop.

Play games with the kids, we’re doing a problem solving robot game at the moment.

At night it sits on the bed side table with long lead headphones and I listen to something online while I drift off. Usually Radio 7 / 4extra

Iplayer TV. I prop it up in the shelf in the bathroom and watch Mock The Week or whatever while I’m pooing, bathing and shaving.

Use logmein in to access other PCs to do stuff on them, like download content. Admin of my NAS etc.

I’ve got PCs, Media Centres, Laptops and Netbooks at home. If I had money for only one it’d have to be a Laptop coz it’s the most flexible, but I hardly use mine since I got the ipad.

I didn't think I would use one more than any of the other devices I have access too but persuaded by Mrs no. 5 to buy one on impulse. I find I use for just about everything you refer to and more. The question about what does it get used for could just as easily be applied to any number of other devices!

i got the "SuperPad" basically similar thing but with a 10" screen.

i can play angry birds on the shitter.. and watch porn in bed... what more can a guy want?

ipads arent the best, but they would be better if they ran proper mac os, not iOS or whatever it runs.
