Assume that it's the same for straights as it is for gays - in that not all straight men love girly girls - some like the tomboy look, some like the sporty look, and so on and so forth.

Same for gays. We like all sorts according to personal preference.

Also, "feminine" and "female" aren't the same by a long shot. You can be butch as fuck, but it doesn't make you a man. And you can be a guy into pink sparkly things, but if you're possessed of a penis, you're a guy, and no two ways about it.
