Asparagus is best on the griddle, I reckon.
Drizzled just prior to serving with balsamic vinegar and QOTW olive oil, and topped with black pepper and parmesan shavings.

Have you had them done in the microwave? I do a well nice meal which is 100% microwave.
Poach an egg in the microwave (mug 50% water plus egg in it for 1:40ish), and on another plate put a muffin cut in half with layer of loads of aspagous on each top with some butter... then put the poached egg on top of the muffin and enjoy.

I do a wicked carbonara in the microwave, I go get a microwave pasta meal....etc.
The poached egg works well, fill a mug half way with water, crack an egg in it, then turn it on for 1:20, and then another 10s to check, another 10s, check... etc. Until it's how you like it. Watch out though because too much and it'll explode. Then sive/slotted-spoon it.

Didn't the microwave come with a book of recipes?
They usually do. I think I have one somewhere.

Mine was given to me by a colleague so I got no recipe book.
I did once see a fucking hilarious microwave cookbook from when they were new, telling you how to do the perfect roast chicken etc.

Almost as funny as Delia Smith's early books. 'Take a tin of pineapple chunks, spray canned Anchor cream on it and top with a glace cherry' etc.
