I used to wake up at 5.30am
to watch Ulysses 31. Which of course makes me totally awesome.

The theme tune started at 5.30am
The actual show started nearer midday.

As far as I can remember, Nomi (robot) was fucking annoying and Telemecus got his name shouted each episode. Every two or three they would go and wake up the girl's brother for about 5 mins

In the final episode,
Ulysses and his companions reach the Kingdom of Hades. They meet Orpheus, who seeks Ulysses' help to find his love, Eurydice, who has been taken to the Kingdom of Hades by Charon. Hades, the god of death, tells Ulysses that he must leave his companions behind if he wishes to return to Earth. He rejects the offer, which was a final test, and they all return home.

There were only 26 episodes of it apparently
It's always like that with old programmes you watched when you were younger, seems like there should be more. I'll be finding out there were only two episodes of Stig Of The Dump and Chocky next.

Telemachus
Interesting that they used the Greek name for his son and used the Latin form for his own.
Of course, the actual Greek spelling would have been closer to Telemakos, in our alphabet.
Actually, this wasn't interesting at all.

the animation on old Transformers was quite shit as well
I seem to recall.
Most people forget because of the movie.
From my extensive testing while at uni, the cartoon that stood the test of time best was the He-Man and She-Ra movie (not the Dolph Lundgren one)

Which is the point. The Fall Guy's on at the moment, that really is shit and redeemed only by having Heather Locklear in a bikini in the title credits, if memory serves.
