Why not tell the group about the lol-packed weekend you have planned?
Alt: which famous person, alive or dead, do you most wish was an /OT regular?
(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 13:46, 144 replies, latest was 15 years ago)
I have nothing planned, might pop down lahdon
but apart from that, getting a suit dry cleaned and moaning at the bank are the two aims for the weekend.
(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 13:50, Reply)
I just had this horrible, horrible vision
of you on Barclays' doorstep in Milton Kenynes, vocally approching the vinegar strokes.

And now I need more mindbleach than there is in the known world.
(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 13:52, Reply)
Barclays Wank etc

(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 13:54, Reply)
I WILL BE OOOOP NORTH WITH TWO B3TANS.
WE ARE GOING TO A MINI FESTIVAL ON SUNDAY.

GET IN!!!!!!!!

Alt: Hitler. So I could watch Monty fawn over him.
(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 13:53, Reply)
Big plans init.
All day thing at the Big Chill bar in Kings Cross, terrace party do organised by a mate. 3pm til 5am. Then everyone back to mine afterwards because conveniently my mum's going on holiday tomorrow lunchtime.
The only downside is Vodafone returned my mobile minus all the numbers saved on it, despite them saying they'd still be there. How am I supposed to organise picking up industrial amounts of horse tranquillizers now?
(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 13:55, Reply)
I wasn't planning on doing anything
but I might pop down to London in attempt to assauge the inevitable boredom of this weekend
(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 13:57, Reply)
Might wander round the festival if I can be arsed with the crowds of pretentious dramatic arts students everywhere
few beers. Might work on restoring the hall floorboards. Probably read the draft PhD thesis I've been putting off, maybe take the bike down to Glentress.

Rock and roll life

My old friend Paul McCaffrey is doing his first solo show this year.

NB he is a standup comedian, not a ping-pong ball firing 'adult performer'
(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:01, Reply)
I read that as Paul McCartney and nearly soiled myself
I might check him out then.
(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:06, Reply)
One part of his act
concerns a lie I made up about him in 1991 which still haunts him to this day. I am most proud.
(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:16, Reply)
was it the lie
about him being a talented comedian who should do "stand up"
(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 15:26, Reply)
I am not flinging myself off a crane this weekend.
Bit of an anticlimax, really.

Alt: Prince Phillip. He seems to espouse a lot of the views held on here...
(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 13:58, Reply)
I read that as 'flicking myself off on a crane'.

(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:01, Reply)
Oh, I'll be doing *that*
Just didn't think it was worth mentioning.
(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:02, Reply)
I might have some sex. And go to a party. Then I might have some sex there too.
alt: I wish Amy Winehouse was an ot regular. It'd be fun to read her drugged up ramblings.
(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 13:59, Reply)
Sounds like a sexy old weekend you're having.

(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:00, Reply)
Who are you calling old?

(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:04, Reply)
Err, the weekend?
NOT THE FACE!! I'm too purdy to dah.
(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:17, Reply)
You got a reeeeeel purdy mouth boy

(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:18, Reply)
Have some sex for me too.

(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:11, Reply)
I'm only joking. I probably won't have sex.
It's been so long, I'd like it to mean something.
(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:14, Reply)
Tonight: quiet one
Tomorrow: seeing daughter from 4:30
Sunday: off to Oxford for luncheon with my sister and father, I am DREADING THIS.
(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 13:59, Reply)
Is this because you called your father a cunt?

(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:01, Reply)
Yes.

(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:02, Reply)
Probably shouldn't have done that eh?

(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:02, Reply)
Still Oxfords got some nice places to eat.
There's a steak place where the waiters will subtly have a go at you if you order certain steaks cooked the wrong way. Which is something I like.
(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:04, Reply)
We are going to The Trout.
It is good.
(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:18, Reply)
I imagine they are too.

(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:01, Reply)
I also imagine this.

(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:02, Reply)
Where are you eating?
/OT question
(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:03, Reply)
The Trout.

(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:18, Reply)
It's rather nice
Been there once. The onion rings were good
(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:19, Reply)
Film night with a mate tonight
Tomorrow nothing
Sunday nothing, but I might be seeing the young lady from last night, if all goes well!

Alt: Oscar Wilde.
(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:02, Reply)
So film night and that's it?

(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:05, Reply)
Yep, we've both got a few films recently that we both want to watch, so I'm providing food, he's providing beer.

(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:07, Reply)
i think he was being rude about your chances of ever seeing the girl again
which is a bit fucking rich, coming from him, but you know.
(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:10, Reply)
I know, decided to completely ignore it.

(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:17, Reply)
An excellent policy

(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:25, Reply)
Film nights are pointless unless they're part of the KFC, which I plan to franchise.
It's Ketamine Film Club, if you do enough it feels like you're watching the tele from the rooftop whilst on a somersaulting chair. The only downside is you have literally no idea what's going on and the film seems to last for about six hours.
(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:08, Reply)
I like this
*purchases franchise*
(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:09, Reply)
It really is amazing.
The room expands to ten times its size and the tele turns into a cinema screen. When there are lulls during the plot, your chair goes mental and it feels like you're moving through the film like on those rides in Disney Land. I suggest you start with Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas for maximum 'I have really lost my mind' effect.
(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:12, Reply)
As your lawyer, I advise you to try this

(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:13, Reply)
I've never taken ketamine
sounds shit from this post.
(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:09, Reply)
And you sound shit from your posts.

(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:14, Reply)
I'll post you shit in a minute.

(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:18, Reply)
Barry's connected
Post him shit and you'll end up in a Guy Ritchie movie
(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:20, Reply)
He's not connected now he's lost all his numbers

(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:21, Reply)
I concede that this is an excellent comeback

(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:31, Reply)
I only have twice.
On the second occasion I had way too much and nearly died. Not for me.
(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:21, Reply)
I've had it once.
It was OK.
(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:22, Reply)
I've never taken ketamine
It doesn't tempt me tbh.
(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:27, Reply)
This weekend I will be mostly......working
SHIT. Saturday 12pm start, all day Sunday. However, it is remote work and thus will mean the laptop on the kitchen bench, with me occasionally typing commands in, on the way past to the coffee.

Elizabeth is off to a swimming lesson and Liam will be playing Thomas the Tank engine with me most of Saturday afternoon. Sunday will hopefully be doing something outside, weather permitting. I may visit the beach

At some point I need to do some non-uphill gardening

I will be breaking my alcohol ban as there is a bottle or two of red with my name on them.

Alt:
Nick Griffin, just for the lols
(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:08, Reply)
2 games of cricket
plus attempting to finish decorating my daughter's bedroom before her and my son get back from holidaying with their mother on Sunday night.

Busy.
(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:12, Reply)
30th party tonight
Rawkus tomorrow night. My best mate's last one as DJ so will be large. Finishes at 3am. Home for 3.30am. Calmed down enough to sleep by 4, hopefully.

Ballroom competition at 12pm the next day. Need to arrive at 11am. It's in Leatherhead.

Fuck.
(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:16, Reply)
I'm in Edinburgh. It's fucking boss.

Woo Rootatootooting!
Edinburgh is ace.
(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:23, Reply)

It would be ace even if it didn't have me in it.

We're going up a week on Sunday.
With the in laws. I'm starting to think this may not end well.
(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:58, Reply)
I always thought Bruce Springsteen could fit an entire city in his flexuous arseplumbing.

(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:29, Reply)
Took me a minute but I got there in the end.

(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:30, Reply)
It was terribly contrived.
How're you?
(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:32, Reply)
Meeting the awesome twosome tomorrow.
How about you?
(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:34, Reply)
JEALOUS.
I'm surviving. I have a new job prospect which could be splendid, the CBT seems to be heading in the right direction and I have an excuse to drink beer for a couple of hours this evening.
(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:36, Reply)
Woo hoo!

(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:39, Reply)
Innit.
About time I got out of this shithole. I've been offered £140 a week for approx. 7.5h work. Much more like it.
(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:42, Reply)
Can't argue too much on that rate!

(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 15:00, Reply)
Glad to hear that.
What job?
(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:46, Reply)
School run for another taxi company.
Contract work, the company gets the work, provides the vehicle and fuel, you go pick up the kids, drop them at school in the morning and do the reverse in the evening. The company takes the cream off the top of the payment and pays the driver the rest. Five days a week, term time, with a big wedge of time in the middle to work somewhere else. Big chance the amount of work will go up too, the company's been doing really well this past two years.
(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:47, Reply)
Sounds just your cup of tea : )

(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 15:03, Reply)
This means I've got my scousedar on full alert now, you know.

(, Fri 5 Aug 2011, 14:52, Reply)
