but since it's the only place I've really been on holiday in the last 15 years, there's not much competition. Except a hostel on the wales/england border where we stayed a night for a friend's birthday and went fishing.

since i really need a drink. in response to the flavoured vodka point: i do drink it neat, you see, over lots of ice. so the flavours help to make me feel like less of a raging alcoholic.
in more important news, kristine, that sucks royal ass. can you not swap the roommate at all? or would it be the same problem?

vodka + skittles, leave for a week or so. Works nicely with butterscotch sweets, too

I'm also interested to hear about other types of flavouring. There used to be a nice bar in Glasgow that did lots of fun flavours. Jelly Tots sounded like a good one.

But on the basis that I'm going to decant it into plastic bottles, throw a load of sweets in it, shake it a lot, then filter it. I tend to go for a a 'middle-priced' supermarket vodka when I've made it, something like 'Red' or that Icelandic one.
