I'm so glad I made dinner instead of getting a takeaway. It was nomtastic.
Tinned mackerel, onion and chickpeas in a tomato, garlic and all purpose seasoning sauce with brown rice.

Very easy and quick to make apart from the rice taking longer than white rice.

We use brown basmati.
It has a lovely nutty texture.

That sounds ace.
Although earlier I made the best dinner I've had in ages. Sirloin steak with kidney beans, spring onions, peppers and mushrooms in black bean sauce. Five big fuck off steaks for £3.50, bare cheapness.

Ha.
They go out of date tomorrow, so tomorrow for dinner I'll be having steak with a side dish of three steaks.

Friday we're having nut roast with potatoes, veg, yorkshire puds and gravy : )

I'd be up for a bit of that, sod the meat.
I like using the yorkshire pud as a gravy-bathtub with the veg and meat/main-bit, and then biting into it so it all goes down in one go 'cus otherwise you get gravy down your shin.
