Oh what a glorious morning, oh what a glorious day, I got a funny feeling, sunshine is coming my way.
Oh man, I woke up and made my bed so when I go to bed tonight it'll be all nice and snug like it was last night. I woke up 4 times to have a fag, but I resisted and had it in my smoking chair and not in my bedroom as normally I wake up every couple of hours, have a few drags of a fag and then go back to sleep in my bedroom. Eventually I'll be able to go the whole night without a fag. Oh god, that sounds pathetic, but still, totally doing something about it, LOOK FORWARDS, NOT BACKWARDS.

My shower is awesome, I get the temprature I want when I want it and it's really really really powerful and I felt so nice after, I need to score myself a shower curtain and one of those plastic bath matts and a matt for the bathroom too.

A mate I ain't spoken to in tiiime has moved into enfield town too, so that is a score. Why doesn't

Why isn't Food Network on Freeview on at the moment? It's on on sky and virgin, it should be on freeview too.

I'm gonna take a walk into the town today, pearsons is open, hopefully HMV is too. Just waiting for my tablets to kick in. Donno what else i'll do today, maybe put some clothes away for the charity shop.

Your plans/brain-farts of the day?

I'm eating chana masala and chapatti in bed and reading Questionable Content, I've just passed 500.

(, Sun 1 Jan 2012, 11:53, Reply)
What's questionable content or chana masala?
You've just reminded me that I got half a pizza to nosh up for breakfast. WIN.
(, Sun 1 Jan 2012, 11:55, Reply)
Ooops, it was daal, lentil curry, yeah.
www.questionablecontent.net is the first webcomic that's hooked me. I'm reading it from the start and it's good.
(, Sun 1 Jan 2012, 12:15, Reply)
ahhh, yeah', I remember now, I've seen that before. I used to read XKCD quite a lot, but it got to clever for me.
Cool, lental curry sounds good, I like "dry curry" when I can get it.
(, Sun 1 Jan 2012, 12:19, Reply)
There's some pretty good dry curry recipes out there.
I'll eat pretty much any curry, I like a party in my mouth.
(, Sun 1 Jan 2012, 12:20, Reply)
Sweet, I'm gonna buy some of those tin trays that take-aways have today too, with some cardboard tops and clingfilm and a pen....
.... then I'm gonna make'n'freeze some stuff that I can just take out the freezer and cook. Curry is a good one for that, but I think the first thing I'll make is something that Clare introduced to me, Botboti, it's a really nice sweet mince meat dish.
(, Sun 1 Jan 2012, 12:38, Reply)
Nononono, I tuned it in yesterday, what I mean is though, why is it in "Closedown" ?

(, Sun 1 Jan 2012, 11:54, Reply)
Some channels only broadcast for 12 hours a day.
Dunno why.
(, Sun 1 Jan 2012, 12:10, Reply)
Oh, how strange.
I would have thought if it was profitable to run a channel at all, it would be more profitable to run a channel for longer hours. Maybe they have something against repeated content, 'cus Food Network and Good Food tend to repeat things two days in a row, eg, between 0500-1700 will play yesterday's 1700-0500 or whatever.
(, Sun 1 Jan 2012, 12:13, Reply)
So, yesterday afternoon I got one of my 'heads'
You know the sort that threaten to turn into a migraine if you don't treat them with respect and drugs?
Well, drugs didn't touch it, drinking didn't touch it, sleep didn't touch it. It was still there this morning when I woke up, which sucks. However, it still hasn't turned into a migraine, for which I can only be thankful.

Still, I have a fresh clean calendar, a fresh clean diary, and a fresh clean new year to go out and fill. Who's with me?
(, Sun 1 Jan 2012, 12:12, Reply)
I've never had a migrain before but my uncle and aunty both get them, and they seem horrificly bad...
... that it's not just the imence pain, but the world turning black'n'white and the nausia. I don't really get headaches at all, let alone a migrain. Can't remember the last time I had one.

Oh b3th, you're right, I need to get myself a calender, and I want to get a wall-clock too, and some tea-lights. Did you see the photos of my livingroom and bedroom? What other things do you think I should go for?
(, Sun 1 Jan 2012, 12:15, Reply)
How's yer 'ead now?
I'm still in me jarmers and I'm having a calimucho.

I'm in the pub
Waiting for them to cook me a large breakfast. I might have a snooze later.
(, Sun 1 Jan 2012, 12:18, Reply)
Are you there on your own?
I wish I could enjoy going to the pub on my own, seems like an ace thing to do, but I like the comfort of home.
(, Sun 1 Jan 2012, 12:20, Reply)
alright double P,
I'm stuck doing a 12-10 in an empty restaurant. I'm bored as fuck.
I'm similarly excited abot the new year though, me and ladypig moved in to our first house 3 weeks ago. Still got a little work to do, but furniture shopping is ace. Found this amazing place on an old farm that just has barns full of old vintage furniture and stuff. Gonna sort out a mate with a van and see if we can grab some bargains.

Ez Geeze
Whats today's special?

I love my mirror I got yesterday, imgb.in/dZ . The white units are getting dumped, I didn't mean to bring them into the new place. One needs to be binned and the other will go to my Ma's friend who lives down the end of the road. That sounds nice, I like a combination of vintage and new. Ikea was fucking good value for money, I got a double and single waldrobe with shelves'n'bits, a chest of draws and a massive TV unit, came to £450ish, and they look really good. I'm gonna get some bedside tables this week and that'll finish off that room.

(, Sun 1 Jan 2012, 12:47, Reply)
GONZO DON'T GET THE FOIL TUBS, YOU CAN'T MICROWAVE THEM!
I go to the pound shop and get those clear plastic tubs with lids, like you get when you get a curry/chinese delivered. That way you can freeze them, and you can also microwave them if you're in a hurry. It makes me feel like I'm having a ready meal even though it's healthy and I made it myself.

Aye up ! Just got back.
The trouble with the plastic ones is that you can't oven them, and the idea is to use oven more than the microwave. I wanna get some cermaic ones too, so you get more crispy bits.
(, Sun 1 Jan 2012, 15:41, Reply)
Oh man I just had to intervene.
If you've got time, oven's great, but I like to sometimes get in from work and know that I have a curry or a pasta sauce that can be re-heated in about 6 mins.
Fair play to yer.

I went to the pub earlier for a large breakfast and that seemed to sort it out.
But it's back. I've got a headache and a rumbling tum.

OH MAN, ENFIELD TOWN FUCKING ROCKS TO LIVE IN, FUCKING TOTALLY ROCKS THE BIG ONE BIG TIME.
I got some Nandos, I got 5 chicken wings, some rice and some coalslaw, thing is though, those chicken wings are TINY, not worth the time or day, could eat 10-15 of them as a main meal. never mind, I know for next time. I'll know what to order next time. I also got a charger for my nintendo 'cus I can't find my current one, and some new shoes.

I'm soaking wet 'cus I didn't think I needed a coat and it was pissing down, but it was lovely to walk around, and thats with most of the shops closed !

Oh man, seriously, seriously, I am so content with life at the moment.
(, Sun 1 Jan 2012, 15:45, Reply)
at my new house I will be within walking distance of Asda
not sure that's as impressive
(, Sun 1 Jan 2012, 15:51, Reply)
It all depends really, if you like living in an urban area or not.

(, Sun 1 Jan 2012, 15:56, Reply)
it is urban, really
just not as urban as your place.
(, Sun 1 Jan 2012, 16:01, Reply)
I reckon my last place would be classed as suburban rather than urban, my new place is totally urban though.
but the good amazing thing is, right, I'm 5 minutes away from a really really good high street (waaay better than southgate for shopping, southgate is shit for shopping in comparison. I think they're about equal when it comes to eating though), so it means I don't get the drunk twats coming out of the pubs or bars. It's nice and quite where I am, but in 5 minutes I can have all the possible shops I could want, for food or gadgets or clothes or whatever.
(, Sun 1 Jan 2012, 16:10, Reply)
Nope - that was urban, too
suburban there is one shop in walking distance and you can play in the road. Rural, you get cows in your garden sometimes
(, Sun 1 Jan 2012, 16:15, Reply)
Gonz, do you love man vs food? How is the pad?

(, Sun 1 Jan 2012, 15:48, Reply)
On a morel and ethical level, I hate it.
On a gastranoimic and entertainment level, I love it. Adam Richman is AWESOME.

It got me thinking, there are quite a few shows in the states where they go around different restruants trying out their food, but there isn't a single one in the UK.
(, Sun 1 Jan 2012, 15:52, Reply)
I think I feel the same but I have about twenty to watch on sky plus.
He is very entertaining, I would like them to mix the formula up a bit as te show can be a bit dull. Why don't we start our own? Become millionaires.
(, Sun 1 Jan 2012, 15:55, Reply)
I would very much like to do that, maybe do a youtube show and see if we can get picked up by GoodFood or FoodNetwork or whatever.
0o0o0o0oh, yeah', btw, there is a mother fucking mexican resturant down the road from me, MEXICAN RESTURANT, fuck yeah. And a thai/malasian one.

I don't do hot food, I just can't take it and it causes me more displeasure than pleasure throughout the whole eating, digesting and expelling process.
But apparently their spicy sauces are the best you can get for that sort of thing.

They do porchageese food, their foretay is BBQ chicken, seriously perfectly cooked and char'd chicken, in different maronades. I know next time though to get a lot more chicken wings, or half a chicken instead. I wanted to try their new blackbean thing, and a cheesecake thing, and lots of things, which I will eventually do.

They also give you free chicken if you buy enough chicken. It's known as a chav's resturant, where chavs take out other chavs on dates to look posh.

Think a healthy and delicious alternative to KFC.
