Well, we fixed, and then rates went up so we were quids in for about a yearthen they went down and we lost out. Well, I say lost out, it's not really a problem, we can afford the repayments and it meant not having to worry about interest rates for a good while.

I solved the mortgage problem by marrying an old man.His mortgage was paid off a few years ago. I say 'his' because it's still technically his house (my name isn't on the deeds.
Probably not the ideal solution for everyone.
