The worst thing is undoubtedly the amount of bloody children underfoot.
The best thing is everything else. I love summer.

The worst summer was the one when some friends and I killed a man in a hit and run accident.
The following summer was even worse, when this nutter started following us around, going on about how he knew what we'd done.
Still, my breasts looked pretty spectacular.

best: time off to see friends, apples on my tree, larp, festivals
worst: sunburn, lawnmowers, kids
My summers as a kid were spent in summer school activities, usually sewing and making things

I prefer summer, not nice sitting outside drinking in the cold and wet.

In the Popular children's book Robinson Crusoe, there is a character called "man Friday" named as bsuch because this bis when Ribinson met him
the crux of this delicious pun is that Friday can be taken to mena a day of the week OR a fictional person. Therefore by saying that they will play Friday the reader is confused and therefore amused as to whether the author meant the person ore the day. this joke is set up by the mention of sand which realtes back to Robinson's original time spent on an island

Up until I was about 12 my summers were like the fucking Famous 5
or Swallows & Amazons or some shit. Long and pleasant summers spent larking about in empty public schools (Cheltenham College in particular was superb: punting lake, full army assault course, swimming pool to yourself etc.) or holidaying in charming (and freezing) British locations. Lots of board games and reading and visiting castles etc. It was excellent. When I entered my teens my cretinous parents entrusted me to the care of my brother and allowed us to stay behind in the house, which of course meant PARTY TIME. By 15 these events became legendary 14-day acid, pot and booze sessions in our frankly gigantic house*, followed by panic-stricken clear-ups. After that came the Free Festivals I was wanking on about yesterday – utter magic – followed by the halcyon days of RAVE, spent bombing about looking for aircraft hangars etc and whooping it up on mentally strong Es. What is this, National Misty-Eyed Week or something?
Then it all went to shit and I’ve been a misery ever since.
I love summer but I am fair skinned and tend to overheat, plus I love autumnal/winter food much more. Don’t prefer one to the other.
Losing my wallet is the silliest thing I’ve done in months.
*on one of these, my brother contructed a Dream Machine according to Brion Gysin's instructions. It is a device designed to induce hypnotic visions.

she unleashed a tsunami of blows on her Japanese opponent, nuking her 13-3.
I'm hoping she faces an Israeli in the next round so I can continue being culturally insensitive.

So, dressage. As far as I can gather, it appears to be people with a lot of time and money on their hands with nothing better to do than make some poor horse look like a right cunt.
