It's gonna be the next boom town. I swear down, bruv.

Why don't people put wages in their job descriptions now Monts?
If it's below what I need then I've wasted both of our time. And I can't really ring them up and say "ahhh much????" before I even bother to rewrite my CV.

The want you to tell them your current salary first.
So that if they were prepared to pay way more than that they won't have to if they want to hire you.
(, Thu 10 Jan 2013, 17:23, Reply)
Also known as the 'chancing cunts' approach.

(, Thu 10 Jan 2013, 17:23, Reply)
I've done this myself I have to confess.
'please apply giving current salary details to....'
(, Thu 10 Jan 2013, 17:26, Reply)
That's bollocks though.
Because I tell them my current (shit) salary, that doesn't take into account that I'll be missing possible redundancy payment. Be working longer hours, commuting and won't be getting an NHS pension. I would turn the job down if it's not £15k more than my current honestly.
(, Thu 10 Jan 2013, 17:25, Reply)
Then inflate yours when you apply.
If you get offered the job, then tell them at that point before they check references, and give them the reasons why you did so.

Then you look 'shrewd' not 'a liar'

I might just threaten to petrol bomb their office if they don't tell me their budget.

(, Thu 10 Jan 2013, 17:32, Reply)
This is a much better idea.

Your mum?
Or alternatively taking my son to the gym. His volleyball coach has suggested that he needs to 'bulk up' a bit. OK fair enough, he's not terribly big, but at the age of 15 he's already fucking bigger than the coach.

Cheeky wee shitebag.

Well have fun with your lad.
I texted my ex earlier asking if I was going to be allowed to see my kid on Sunday:

'talk to my solicitor'

'who is your solicitor? you/they have not replied to my letters going back to September'

'your solicitor will have to contact me and I shall forward it on'

ARRRRRRRRRGHHHGGHGHHGHHG

I don't know how you manage to stay self controlled with her.
Even the Dali Lama would chin her, I swear.

FFS she won't even tell you who her solicitor is?
Sounds to me like she doesn't even have one. I'm afraid this looks like it's heading back to court...
(, Thu 10 Jan 2013, 17:37, Reply)
Her boyfriend owns a property company so he definitely has legal people on hand.
Obv not family lawyers but they'll have contacts I guess.

I have all my kid's Xmas gifts in a big bag and having to walk past them all the time in my hall is seriously getting to me.
(, Thu 10 Jan 2013, 17:45, Reply)
:(
That's well sad.

What an awful harridan she must be, refusing her kids Christmas presents from their Dad.

I get angry about 4 times a year, 6 max....and it's never on behalf of others except Ma'.
So strange for that to happen only a few days into the year.
(, Thu 10 Jan 2013, 17:59, Reply)
that right there
shows she does not have a solicitor, or hasn't spoken to him recently.

your solicitor is NOT ALLOWED to write to her directly. law society obliges them to write to HER solicitor. stupid cunt.
(, Thu 10 Jan 2013, 17:44, Reply)
Oh really? That I did not know.

(, Thu 10 Jan 2013, 17:48, Reply)
This is how solicitors make cuntloads in these cases
because they engineer a culture whereby the only letters that are answered are solicitor to solicitor. So her solicitor (if she had one) will not respond to you directly. Only to your solicitor. And so on and soforth.

Although in this case, I'm with Swipe, she definitely hasn't got a solictor. Or she's changed solicitors. I'll go out on a limb here and say it's because her previous solicitor has told her she's behaving appalingly/illegally and has refused to carry on working with her. Because this seems appalingly reminscent of my divorce (only with, sadly, a lot more at stake for you) where my ex went through 3 sets because they kept refusing to act if she didn't behave more responsibly. No-one likes to made to look a cunt in court, even if they are being paid a grand a day for it.

She has to tell you who her solicitor is, though. She has to notify the court of a change as well, doesn't she? Just politely say that you'll go and ask the family court who her solictor is if she doesn't tell you.
