Yeah. Credit check cost 100 quid each, but that's still a damned sight cheaper than some letting agencies charge.
She's getting her boss to guarantee and taking that to the landlady.

The CCJ should be cancelled and the debt passed to the boyfriend.
Then she can get the credit reference agencies to ammend the file.

Not an instant solution but it should stop some problems if you need anything else for the flat on credit.
