To all curry fans
This weekend I'm going to be cooking a curry buffet type thing.
I can cook my own curries easily enough but this time I want to do some starters and desserts too.
So can you think of anything that would be nice to do?

Make your own Naans
Clendrix made some for us and they were amazingly good :)

Also icecream is a winner I feel

Cut some potatoes into wedges
Toss them in a bit of olive oil, sprinkle liberally with crushed cumin seeds and chilli powder, and bung 'em in the oven until nice and golden.

Can be served with raita, mango chutney, lime pickle...

You can also dry-fry them, but oven is better I find.

Samosa's I think they're called?
it's like a tiny little filo pasty filled with I think it's ground mince, curry, cabbage, onion and something else. there are some really good recipes out there if you can find any.

Sorbet
I always find a decent sorbet is a good way to finish of a curry

I did this a while ago
Naans aren't to hard, just need to make them before hand.
Onion bhajis (sp) are suprisingly easy.
If you've got a decent ethnic food shop near you, you could even try to get some uncooked popadoms, you just cook them on the hob. They're very impressive but I think I prefer the ones you get in takeaways.

If I knew anything about cooking I woul describe some simple bits of chicken breast marinated in some kind of red and spicy curry type stuff, followed by getting skewered and grilled.

Maybe some kind of yoghurty type dip to accompany....

Just make sure
you don't use any floating points.

Starters / desserts
Starters - Bhajis(sp?) : fantastically easy and just typing the word makes me want one!

Dessert - given that the curry is likely to be hot, could a sorbet be the answer?

As a tasty side dish
Get some yogurt, chop up some cucumbers and add some chopped corriander to it. Lovely :) Forget what it's called but I like it
