I especially like the extreme variation between the stories and the reference to b3ta as a chatroom.

I'm surprised there hasn't been more praise for those folk who took it seriously. They deserve a round of applause and can take a bow. Good work.

Not one of them actually has it right.
VC and Halfy are both full of win.
( , Sat 20 Jun 2009, 4:44, Reply)

No I'm not. That's between the three of us; I'm saying nothing more on the matter.

I don't really know what to say, other then I wasn't the one who called 999, Halfy was. The Sun has that part wrong at least.
In all honesty I don't really want to think about it. I'm glad the person in question is alive - I really am - but I don't really know what to say.

None of them have it completly right, but the Sun is just complete and utter bullshit.

This is why I wasn't particularly keen on the police releasing any kind of statement, but I didn't get a say in the matter except for an order for them not to speak to me.

glad you're still with us HP and don't do it again...
oh and VC and Halfy - according to Chinese tradition, you are now responsible for HP having saved his life !
(goes away feeling all warm and fluffy that OT managed to save someone's life).

the charity Mind do a lot of campaigning against negative and sensationalist media coverage of mental illness. From the look of article in The Sun they'd probably be happy to help you if you wished to complain. I can send you details if you like.
