Whilst
Mother: "My son shouldn't be given an ASBO because he has ODD."
ODD? Apparently it stands for "Oppositional Defiant Disorder," and the symptoms are that whenever an authority figure gives an instruction, the childbeast does the opposite.
Call me cynical, but that's not a fucking disorder. That's your child being an objectionable little shit, madam. "Needs treatment," my bilious arse.

...seems to me like Mr Slipper needs to pay a visit to bottyland.

But anyway, yeah, that's ridiculous.
I do think MingTFU is the best way to deal with a lot of things.

both are acceptable
"Whilst standing, sweating..."...yeah, that works. I think "stood, sweating" is probably correct if you're going for a slightly more theatrical style*...where are Enzyme or Chickenlady to correct me on these things?
*Does that make me a complete ponce?

'stood sweating' sounds fine to me, can't remember what tense it is though...past historic? past pluperfect? God knows.
In my book if it sounds okay it probably is - living language and all that.

It is a disorder. In medicine, a disorder is a functional abnormality or disturbance [Wikipedia]. Whether the disorder is caused by infection, genetic illness, hormonal imbalances, upbringing or anything else doesn't matter.
That's not to say that the mother isn't a twat for thinking her son shouldn't be given an ASBO because of his behaviour. You need to take responsibility for your behaviour regardless of the reasons behind it.

So "ODD" could actually be a medical definition for "child needs cunting in the fuck" - in the same way that doctors have to refer to a "large, male habitus" instead of "a fat bloke," when talking about a patient within earshot.

It is something that should be taken seriously because about 50% of children that would fit the criteria for ODD will develop conduct disorder if left untreated.
It's a medical definition for a badly behaved child with associated therapies for changing this behaviour. I expect that cunting them in the fuck would more than likely make things worse as coercion is a poor way of enacting the kinds of changes desired. Treating it like an illness rather than a disorder is just as bad.
I might look this up in my textbooks at home as the info I've found on the net is a bit crap.

from the usual dross about the local football team. Since they've sneaked into the premiership last year, it's been mentioned in every copy of the Hull Daily Mail ever since. And discussed in exquisite detail on Radio Slumberside and KC fm.
