Some of you may be aware of the battle I'm having with my neighbour over his evening singing bouts.
He's been quiet for a while but has now started these affronts to my eardrums again.

Having quite an eclectic music collection, I have introduced into my evenings a re-discovery of my drum and base collection, acquired whilst I was a bit of a clubber many years ago.

Of course one must play these CDs loud to get the full on effect of the base line reverb.

Bliss!

Be sure to leave them on repeat when you go out to the pub.

(, Wed 23 Sep 2009, 21:57, Reply)
Can't do repeat but I do plan on having a very early Sunday morning at the gym : )
Of course I will need some music to get me all ready for day.

I think punk is a Sunday morning kind of music. Don't you?

Just out of interest
which album?
(, Wed 23 Sep 2009, 22:38, Reply)
Fat
of the Land, of course. Although when I'm in the mood to listen to them I just stick on the singles album.

My favourite's Experience
Recently got Experience Expanded from iTunes.
(, Wed 23 Sep 2009, 23:06, Reply)
Does Offspring count as punk?
I love me a bit of offspring, they're probably my favorite band, pre AND post Americana.
(, Wed 23 Sep 2009, 22:59, Reply)
the first album just about cuts it as punk
but they gradually descended into pop, albeit producing some very good stuff along the way.
(, Thu 24 Sep 2009, 9:00, Reply)
I'd call it 'spunk'
- unwanted in my ears, thank you
(, Thu 24 Sep 2009, 13:49, Reply)
I think the first Ramones album is a great wake-me-up on Sunday
"Beat on the brat, Beat on the brat, Beat on the brat WITH A BASEBALL BAT!!"

Nice!

Make sure you put on some John Cooper Clarke.
I'm sure you know the track I have in mind.
(, Wed 23 Sep 2009, 22:26, Reply)
Would it be
Chickentown?
(, Wed 23 Sep 2009, 23:59, Reply)
I was thinking "Twat"
but whatever.

That's the one.
"You give me the horrors- too bad to be true
All of my tomorrows are lousy 'coz of you..."
(, Thu 24 Sep 2009, 4:07, Reply)
And here I thought..
Nitzer Ebb sounds a bit like Sunday morning music.

That or the Shamen.
(, Wed 23 Sep 2009, 22:30, Reply)
If you'd like
I'll burn you a CD of the same eight bars of your favourite track for 80 minutes so you can put it on when you go out.
(, Wed 23 Sep 2009, 22:36, Reply)
Deviously evil
I like that.
(, Wed 23 Sep 2009, 23:25, Reply)
Sounds like the issue I had with my neighbor last year
She was always playing loud R&B and rap, so I countered with the Carpenters, Evita and ABBA.
She soon shut the shit off.
(, Wed 23 Sep 2009, 23:04, Reply)
as an alternate...
ask at local school to record pupils practising their violins.

Press play. Leave for the pub.

should sort it methinks.

Dookie by Green Day.
Great stuff played loud.
(, Thu 24 Sep 2009, 0:32, Reply)
Hmm
I'd consider a bit of Behemoth!

Alternatively, if you want some ridiculous metal, I can send you a CD?
(, Thu 24 Sep 2009, 8:45, Reply)
CDs are made from sensible plastic.

(, Thu 24 Sep 2009, 8:50, Reply)
Bah!
You've foiled my scheme!
(, Thu 24 Sep 2009, 9:07, Reply)
I can highly recommend
anything by SunnO))) Turn the bass up and the treble down.

I would also recommend anything by Nile, Dark Funeral, or Immortal preferably played at a volume louder than hell.
(, Thu 24 Sep 2009, 8:50, Reply)
^^
This!
(, Thu 24 Sep 2009, 9:06, Reply)
Or
some noise music, such as Nic Endo or Whitehouse? Perhaps even a little bit of Atari Teenage Riot for that full on headfuck enjoyment?

Oh, I almost forgot use The Berzerker!!! use it loud, very loud, very very really really loud.
(, Thu 24 Sep 2009, 9:40, Reply)
The Berzerker!
Love them, absolutely insane live!
(, Thu 24 Sep 2009, 10:18, Reply)
This or Boris.
Or some Reverend Bizarre/Electric Wizard.
(, Thu 24 Sep 2009, 9:39, Reply)
There can only be ONE
sonic weapon, and that is Lou Reed's Metal Machine Music

i used this quite effectively against a party of noisy nazi's whilst on holiday to gran canaria. after 10 minutes it was getting on MY tits, but i sat it out
(, Thu 24 Sep 2009, 9:08, Reply)
Sunday Mornings
Wagnor... its cultural and very loud...

Any other time go electonica, I would go with The Knives, for both loud and piercing
(, Thu 24 Sep 2009, 9:14, Reply)
Come on folks!
I just want to piss him off, not drive him insane.
(, Thu 24 Sep 2009, 10:23, Reply)
When people describe their taste in music as...
'eclectic', I make a little sick in my mouth...
(, Thu 24 Sep 2009, 10:58, Reply)
Ok then......
How about comprehensive?
Varied?
Mixed?
(, Thu 24 Sep 2009, 11:16, Reply)
TAD or Sonic Youth
Both have perfected the art of making 'structured noise' - they call it music but sometimes I'm not to sure. Still, it's bloody good stuff!

Babes In Toyland are pretty fandabedoozie as well.
(, Thu 24 Sep 2009, 11:07, Reply)
Gogol Bordello
The Super Taranta album can be quite obnoxious, when turned up loud enough.
(, Thu 24 Sep 2009, 11:42, Reply)
NAPALM DEATH
