Tonight
Home made pizza and lashings of red wine.

Tomorrow: Bit of dull shopping as I'm sick of not having had a blind in the kitchen for over a year. And also the stereo in the kitchen is fucked and I hate cooking without something suitably lairy blasting away in the background. Then Sweary junior staying at mates Saturday night, so may go to pub with the missus.

Sunday: Spend the day playing on my dive club's new RHIB, followed by pub then new episode of Doctor Who. Probably with more wine.

I've never seen anyone more excited about moving house than Al is about your move.
It's almost sweet.

But then, you can understand Al's excitement at the prospect of being able to visit Chez Tights, 3rd bush on the left, Clapham Common, Just next to the shifty looking politician, Laahndan, innit?

Tonight - Seeing "La Traviata" performed by the Welsh National Opera
Saturday - Going out for meal & drinks

Sunday - Going to a christening (although being a heathen, i'll have to stand at the back and try my hardest not to laugh/shout abuse at what I consider to be a 2000 year old superstition).

I say!
Rather more cultural than the average B3tan's Friday night, eh?

(including myself, who'll be spending my evening in a biker's pub in Leighton Buzzard)

I know...my brow feels high just thinking about it
I have only recently started appreciating opera and classical. Mostly because I find modern music shite and all the stuff I used to like has been over-listened (sorry "Smashing Pumpkins", there's only so many times I can listen to your stuff).

Oh BTW, still judging you harshly
(, Fri 13 Nov 2009, 14:19, Reply)
No one's judging me more harshly than I am
(apart from God, perhaps)

Works night out tonight
so wine in the office from 4pm.

Volunteering tomorrow morning at cock o'clock before trying to find a deli where I can buy oddly smelling cheeses for my Dad's birthday hamper.

Cooking for the parents tomorrow night, the boyfriend is cooking the duck, I'm handling the vegetarianism.

At some point I want to try and complete Zelda, but this probably won't happen.

I also need to make a burlesque bustle to see if it's possible and/or easy to market.

In reality I'll probably spend most of the day trying to pry Left 4 Dead out of my blokes paws in order to make him start cooking.
(, Fri 13 Nov 2009, 14:15, Reply)
Which Zelda game are you finishing?

(, Fri 13 Nov 2009, 14:30, Reply)
Twilight Princess
I got about a third of the way through (I think) and then put it down and didn't go back to it for ages, so I've kind of lost the thread of it, but I spent so long on it that I can't bring myself to start again. Plus I've got it on the wii so the controls are a bit of a faff.
(, Fri 13 Nov 2009, 14:34, Reply)
Your sister would have to be a complete and utter cunt to shop you in to the LAPD for doing drugs in your own house while she was visiting in a none offical capacity.
Or were you showing off about doing drugs?

Anyway, It'll be work, work, work, for me.
(, Fri 13 Nov 2009, 14:31, Reply)
For you next name would you consider Pauly Walnuts?
How's that thing going in work?
(, Fri 13 Nov 2009, 14:33, Reply)
Pauly Walnuts yay!

(, Fri 13 Nov 2009, 15:29, Reply)
she wouldn't do it
but I still don't want her to see it all. And Christ, I am in no way showing off about that stuff - it's practically ruined my life, I don't think it's cool.
(, Fri 13 Nov 2009, 14:35, Reply)
Would you rather have never had any drugs
Or to have had a go but then stopped?
(, Fri 13 Nov 2009, 14:37, Reply)
Neither
I'd like to have caned it like a nutter when I was younger (tick, did that), but calmed down later on in a more mature manner and been an occasional dabbler rather than a total fiend (EPIC FAIL on that one).
(, Fri 13 Nov 2009, 14:39, Reply)
just been to oddbins
purchased four Aventinus beers, Gods spunk in a bottle to be honest

took delivery of a green layzorr, so hopefully will be having fun with that later, shining at low flying jumbo jets, cat's eyeball.....fuck it, my own eyeball as well

pal coming over tonight for some foosball and spliff, possible blind the cunt with the layzorr if he wins

tomorrow, finish setting up my retro Rotel 812 amp in the bedroom, gotta love those backlit VU meters

sunday, visit gran in nursing home...although this depresses me a great deal as her mind is going and she can't really remember who my kids are and she calls me about 5 different names, doesn't matter, i'm sure i'll be in the very same position, sooner rather than later
(, Fri 13 Nov 2009, 14:32, Reply)
An old man gave me an amp that looked like that
And I gave it to some bloke because I didn't know what to do with it.
Are they worth lots?
(, Fri 13 Nov 2009, 14:34, Reply)
i got mine on e-gay
for about £30, which is a total bargain in my book. Two months before i just bought a brand new Arcam amplifier and it cost £475, and while it has a nice sound it doesn't have 'the looks' of the Rotel which has a beautiful rich sound to it AND it has a very natty quad surround mode that works brilliantly. Not bad for 30 year old amp.
(, Fri 13 Nov 2009, 14:43, Reply)
I do hope I didn't give hundreds of pounds away...
It was gathering dust though, and the lad who got it actually used it and was very chuffed.
And eh gave me a hi-fi thing with a turntable in return.

Sounding good, my dear fellow

action-packed.
Today: gonna cook a lovely beef casserole with loads of ale in it.
Tomorrow: going to get my swine flu jab.
Sunday: I might clean the bathroom.

Severe weather warning in the West Country this evening. I've lit the stove and am throwing chunks of pallet on the fire as the rain lashes against the windows. Now I'm going to be all housewifey and have catface's dinner ready for him when he comes home from work.

You have inspired me to make a casserole with ale in it

slow cookers ftw!
My parents are coming to visit next month and my ma is bringing my slow cooker over for me. I haven't used it since I was a student.

If you're going to be using it often
I can't recommend this book enough.

It's got some superb recipes in there, like the hotpot above!

I don't want to be in London, reading that.

Entertaining three 7 year old girls tonight...
...which I do realise is not the thing to say on Off Topic.

Tomorrow evening I have a 'wife and child free house' so will be drinking Guinness, lighting th e hubbly-bubbly and watching Ireland beat the French. (football to all you non sports types.)
