I am cool: More evidence.
So yeah, I totally just fell down the stairs in front of the entire lecture theatre. Sometimes I'm just so damn cool it actually hurts.

On the plus side, it was a nice conversation starter with a rather attractive guy I've been checking out for a while, when he came over to ask if I was ok.

He's got dreadlocks. :D

How have you embarrassed yourself recently?

Well...........
I watched The Orphanage the other night with the mrs.

I cried.

I lost man-points.

It wasn't that embarassing though, it has a very sad ending.
(, Thu 4 Feb 2010, 11:09, Reply)
That film
was the first I'd seen in a long time that scared me to the point of feeling ill. The last film that did that to me was Poltergeist (I was quite young at the time, in my defence).

A brilliant film though, I agree.
(, Thu 4 Feb 2010, 11:32, Reply)
Poltergeist did that to me too.
Though I too was about twelve at the time.

And the Orphanage is awesome.
(, Thu 4 Feb 2010, 11:38, Reply)
Funnily enough
I was the same, only the other film was Poltergeist 2 - I still can't watch it on my own :0(
(, Thu 4 Feb 2010, 12:45, Reply)
i dont get all the hype
about The Orphanage

NOT scary
NOT sad

and Belen whatsherface is rather rubbish

Dreadlocks = can't be arsed to wash hair.
Internet FACT.

Last week, shopping with daughter and her mate.
Stepped in front of someone to get something off a shelf and said 'Excuse me, sir' because I was brought up to be polite. Daughter poked me in the back and pointed at 'sir' who was an old lady in a grey bobble hat. The three of us almost collapsed in giggles at the disgruntled look on her face.

There was a white guy who used to come to the gym.
Receding hairline but dreadlocks down to his arse. It just looked a mess.
(, Thu 4 Feb 2010, 11:11, Reply)
I'm pretty sure Al used to have locks when he was a lot younger.
Says it all really.

In gigs, he windmills it.

According the the info, he's doing it here, but I can't check. Stupid filtering.

For future reference,

Hahah me too
The old me...
(, Thu 4 Feb 2010, 11:36, Reply)
Well I'm halfway there
I play guitar in two bands. Can that make up for having a job?
(, Thu 4 Feb 2010, 11:48, Reply)
why were there no women with this attitude around when I needed them?
playing guitar has never furthered my cause with a woman ever.
(, Thu 4 Feb 2010, 12:22, Reply)
Maybe it's your choice of material?
Were you playing Coil tracks?
(, Thu 4 Feb 2010, 12:35, Reply)
ATTENTION
I play bass guitar in one band, which makes me MANLY, and acoustic guitar in another, which probably makes me SENSITIVE or somesuch other shit.

Form an orderly queue. How can any of you resist?

.
I was exiting the office behind someone, when I had to turn round quickly to make one final point.

I then turned round and walked full force into the door which was halfway closed, making a rather loud noise as I did so.

Looked a right prat, but was pretty funny.
(, Thu 4 Feb 2010, 11:18, Reply)
I didn't actually embarrass myself
But I'd just been to get myself a cup of coffee and a banana, and on the way back to my office I held the door for some serious-looking chap. As the banana hand was holding the door, I considered how much fun it would be to threaten him with the banana.

Fortunately I did not follow through (with the plan, nor as a Viz-reader would understand the term).
(, Thu 4 Feb 2010, 11:25, Reply)
Go and do it now

(, Thu 4 Feb 2010, 11:29, Reply)
But I've eaten my banana now!
Or I could 'follow through,' if that's what you really want...
(, Thu 4 Feb 2010, 11:30, Reply)
Thanks, but I'll pass!

(, Thu 4 Feb 2010, 11:32, Reply)
Too late.

Oh dear.
(, Thu 4 Feb 2010, 11:34, Reply)
Sharting all over the office
No need.
(, Thu 4 Feb 2010, 11:36, Reply)
Better than shirting all over the office...
(I don't think my colleagues particularly want to be bummed at this time of the day)
