I've been surfing today
it was fucking cold. What ridiculous yet worthwhile things have you been up to?

it took you a week to get there
but well done

are you one of those people who surf that bore?

edit: wait that sounds wrong, I mean that big long wave in the Bristol Channel

no, can't be arsed with that
besides, my board is too nice and expensive to risk it in a scummy river.

hmm
I cleaned the inside of my damned car the other day, and cleaned my golf clubs.

Might as well retire and buy something grey and cordrouyish now and put myself out of my misery!
(, Sat 6 Mar 2010, 17:57, Reply)
I embroider
while listening to Therapy? I try to cling on to my rock and roll-ness.

I have worked today
This morning I was trying to entice people in to become students and this afternoon I was sending out emails telling people thanks but no thanks, do try again soon.

Now I'm making veggie lasagne.

Rock and roll lifestyle man.

OH BOY!
There's a triple bill of cheerleader films on Viva tonight, I have galaxy chocolate cornflake cakes and a load of cases to write up.

What spectacular fails are you achieving this evening?
(, Sat 6 Mar 2010, 19:19, Reply)
Evening fail
friend cancelled for this weekend, and I drank too much last night. Therefore tonight is Series 3 of The Professionals and Hula Hoops
(, Sat 6 Mar 2010, 19:20, Reply)
I trust Bring It On is in the line-up?

(, Sat 6 Mar 2010, 19:26, Reply)
Nope, it's all the lameass sequels instead

(, Sat 6 Mar 2010, 19:30, Reply)
Oh well I've never seen any of those so maybe I should
Mind you, without Dushku why would I?
(, Sat 6 Mar 2010, 20:05, Reply)
We've got wall to wall Little Big Planet
And they won't let me play.

I want to watch Cheerleader films!
(, Sat 6 Mar 2010, 19:28, Reply)
Come to London and you can watch lame cheerleader films with me

(, Sat 6 Mar 2010, 19:30, Reply)
I made them watch 'Stardust' instead
and they all loved it.

They're all GAY!
(, Sat 6 Mar 2010, 22:48, Reply)
Stardust is a fucking brilliant film
apart from Ricky Gervais
(, Sun 7 Mar 2010, 9:27, Reply)
I have the film District 9 to watch and an urge for midget gems but don't have any : (
Plus I had a cathartic moment today so feel fantastic. And thanks to Phillie Joe I have decided which laptop to buy, which is a relief.

I don't want to start a new thread with this, but opinions on this please...
job 1 = annoying, but will last the rest of the academic year. Pays badly (comparatively) and takes up more time that it should
job 2 = much less annoying, pays well and there are more hours available if I quit job 1, BUT may end in a month (also may not)

Doing both is doing my head in, too many hours, too much commitment, too many nightclasses, if this goes on for long I might just pop.

Is quitting job 1 a really bad idea or not?
(, Sat 6 Mar 2010, 20:54, Reply)
job 2 sounds better

(, Sat 6 Mar 2010, 21:15, Reply)
yeah, but if I only do that job, I might have no job at all in a month or so's time

(, Sat 6 Mar 2010, 21:24, Reply)
it's a risk definitely
but as becky below said, could lead to greater things.
(, Sat 6 Mar 2010, 21:42, Reply)
yup
i think I've made my mind up
people at job2 have been talking about giving me more hours of my very own (rather than cover) next year

sod it, job 1 needs to go!
(, Sat 6 Mar 2010, 21:45, Reply)
good luck!
Hope it works out well
(, Sat 6 Mar 2010, 23:14, Reply)
Job 2. It could lead to greater things and it wouldn't be terribly dull

(, Sat 6 Mar 2010, 21:24, Reply)
Give up both jobs and become a pole dancer.
Now that's were the money is. If I was only 20 years younger I'd be greasing myself around the thing for all I was worth.
(, Sat 6 Mar 2010, 21:57, Reply)
not sure I could get away with that
perhaps at a novelty pole dancing club
(, Sat 6 Mar 2010, 22:04, Reply)
I did
the washing up at my new house on Thursday. Thought I'd do it as a thanks for them letting me crash there for the next few weeks. It took fucking ages. It's already worse than it was before. Last time I bloody do that.
