Afternoon silliness.
Which famous actor would you want to play you in a film of your life?

Mine would be Kathy Burke. She's plain and very funny but with a certain special quality you can't help warm to.

Sid James or Dolph Lungren

I'm hedging my bet on Sid James.

I would want Katharine Isobel
from Ginger Snaps because she's like a hot version of me, so if she played me people might think that's what I actually look like. And if the film is of my life I'm probably dead, in which case no one will remember what I really look like.

before or after she turns into the wolf thing?

(, Mon 22 Mar 2010, 14:31, Reply)
both
my life is actually what Ginger Snaps was based on, so job done.

how has your younger sister turned out?

she had some potential

She did until she met me

I was right, she's become quite lovely

She's quite attractive
If you look like her then you're doing well. How's your corset?
(, Mon 22 Mar 2010, 14:36, Reply)
ewan macgregor
but that's just ridiculously wishful thinking
(, Mon 22 Mar 2010, 14:19, Reply)
Louise Brooks for younger
And Julie Walters for older.
(, Mon 22 Mar 2010, 14:19, Reply)
When I think of BGB
I get an image of Julie Walters, I'm not sure why.
(, Mon 22 Mar 2010, 14:22, Reply)
More like a sexy Jo Brand.

(, Mon 22 Mar 2010, 14:23, Reply)
win
I love Jo Brand
(, Mon 22 Mar 2010, 14:35, Reply)
Brad Pitt.
He is the only one who comes even close to accurately portray my beauty.

True dat!

I've been told - quite insistently by someone, in fact -
that I bore a resemblance to Emile Hirsch. Personally I can't see it myself. And I've no idea what he's been in, so I don't know whether he's any good as an actor.

I think most other people would agree if I were to suggest Hugh Laurie reprising his Prince George accent and popping a long wig on.

Not Jules?

(, Mon 22 Mar 2010, 14:27, Reply)
No
The story of my life would involve music that started off great but got a bit shit later on.
(, Mon 22 Mar 2010, 14:34, Reply)
Frances McDormand.
It'll be some kind of Coen Brothers movie containing moderate levels of implausible violence.
(, Mon 22 Mar 2010, 14:27, Reply)
Fantastic choice.
She'd do you proud.
(, Mon 22 Mar 2010, 14:29, Reply)
Jeff Bridges looked about right in big lebowski
he's getting on a bit though, so probably no good.

Probably Tyler Labine the guy who played Sock in Reaper
(, Mon 22 Mar 2010, 14:35, Reply)
Haha!
I might hang around till you get a bit older.
(, Mon 22 Mar 2010, 14:37, Reply)
I was debating with myself the sensibility of posting that
but I couldn't think of anyone else until after I'd written it
(, Mon 22 Mar 2010, 14:38, Reply)
Don't worry.
You're too far away for me to stalk.
(, Mon 22 Mar 2010, 14:39, Reply)
that's a relief

David Fewlis

Tony Robinson
(Or so I've been told) at his Baldrick best.
(, Mon 22 Mar 2010, 14:39, Reply)
See my above reply
Now we just need a Rowan Atkinson lookalike.
(, Mon 22 Mar 2010, 14:48, Reply)
Not sure...
...but John Holmes would be needed as a stand in for some scenes.
(, Mon 22 Mar 2010, 14:55, Reply)
David Niven
would not be miscast playing me. If he was not available due to shagging committments, then Arthur Mullard.
(, Mon 22 Mar 2010, 14:55, Reply)
I was going to ask this the other week, but forgot
I've got a variation:

Who would it be if YOU were casting director and
Who would it be if it was a proper casting director

My choice: John Lynch
Proper choice: David Gest

Aaaaagh
