The thread of joy in our equality and difference.
Tell me what you love about the opposite sex.

Nothing
Women have boobs, men could never top that.

I should have stated, apart from the obvious.

(, Wed 31 Mar 2010, 10:44, Reply)
They're generally more interesting than men.

(, Wed 31 Mar 2010, 10:45, Reply)
I love the way
they've completely ruined my life.

STOP OPPRESSING ME

(, Wed 31 Mar 2010, 10:51, Reply)
That's your bad choices so don't go blaming us.

(, Wed 31 Mar 2010, 10:53, Reply)
hello kettle? this is pot.
and the whole scene unfolds with a tedious inevitability...
(, Wed 31 Mar 2010, 10:55, Reply)
I understand but I don't hate men.
I just like to moan about them.

The problem is me and not them. It must be.
(, Wed 31 Mar 2010, 10:57, Reply)
I didn't choose to be assaulted and treated like shit.
If I was a woman would you say that to me? 'Well it's your fault you were abused by your husband'.

RAMPANT SEXISM IN ACTION RIGHT HERE.
(, Wed 31 Mar 2010, 10:57, Reply)
Women make bad choices too.
Over and over and over again. Some women choose to stay in abusive relationships and it is their fault 100% that they don't move out. But more often than not it's because of the kids that they stay and put up with it.
(, Wed 31 Mar 2010, 11:00, Reply)
I did get out of the relationship - and very quickly too.
And it's because of my kid that I still have to put up with it all. But even if that were not true if someone is abusive to you the blame for that is 100% upon them. There's no shared responsibility for abuse.
(, Wed 31 Mar 2010, 11:04, Reply)
We all know the real reason you got out of the relationship
is because you were craving cock
(, Wed 31 Mar 2010, 11:05, Reply)
Because of the kids? Surely it's more because they don't feel 'strong' enough to leave.
Like my mum said "I'd rather sit on orange boxes than let someone belt me and stay there with my kids."
(, Wed 31 Mar 2010, 11:05, Reply)
That'll be their fault, apparently.
Their fault for being so bullied, devalued and cowed that they lack the self-belief and confidence to get out of the situation.

The stupid idiots.
(, Wed 31 Mar 2010, 11:09, Reply)
It's just that I've known a couple of people in abusive relationships
One who had kids. She said it took her so long to go to her mothers (and another time to a shelter) not because she thought the kids were better off in their abusive home, but because of the way he'd made her. She couldn't leave him. She was 'unable'. She knew that ANYTHING would have been better for the kids than the environment. And she went back once or twice too.
I'm not saying she was right. I'd like to think my maternal insticnt would overtake any of my personal fears, but I've not been there.
Well, I've been in an abusive relationship but I was only responsible for me myself and I.

You were in De La Soul?
Nice one.
(, Wed 31 Mar 2010, 11:14, Reply)
fack orf ;)

(, Wed 31 Mar 2010, 11:14, Reply)
You should never let it get to that situation.
I guess it's not their fault they are weak but only they have the power to change how their lives are.
(, Wed 31 Mar 2010, 11:48, Reply)

Making a sweeping generalisation here...
But on the whole, they tend to be funnier than women.
(, Wed 31 Mar 2010, 10:57, Reply)
Women are better at sweeping generalisations

(, Wed 31 Mar 2010, 11:01, Reply)
That's because they have more to laugh about.

(, Wed 31 Mar 2010, 11:01, Reply)
True
Then again, there are those who are funny, like Gina Yashere, Ronni Ancona, Jo Brand, Joan Rivers, erm...Ah, Victoria Wood!
(, Wed 31 Mar 2010, 11:12, Reply)
victoria wood isn't funny
joan rivers is funnier.

there's a woman ventriloquist whose name escapes me who is very good

Lucy Porter is quite funny too, and pretty.
(, Wed 31 Mar 2010, 11:15, Reply)
I like Victoria Wood
Joan Rivers has had one or two funny moments, but in a career that's lasted nearly 30 years, not really good enough.
(, Wed 31 Mar 2010, 11:19, Reply)
Victoria Wood is terrible.
Her fucking songs are simply appalling. My mum likes her - proof if you need it that she is shit.
(, Wed 31 Mar 2010, 11:20, Reply)
Your Mum also probably likes you
What does that say?
(, Wed 31 Mar 2010, 11:28, Reply)
Hahahaha

(, Wed 31 Mar 2010, 11:36, Reply)
true
I'm basing it almost entirely on seeing her standup on Live at the Apollo once, and finding it quite funny
(, Wed 31 Mar 2010, 11:20, Reply)
I was the same
I thought she was pretty good, so I looked her up. Utterly disappointing.
(, Wed 31 Mar 2010, 11:28, Reply)
The only female friends I've had who have been able to make me laugh as much as my male ones

I'm fucking hilarious me
But then I have 'form'.

I'm amazingly funny too

(, Wed 31 Mar 2010, 11:18, Reply)
you'd better be
there's got to be a third good thing about you...
(, Wed 31 Mar 2010, 11:19, Reply)
There are many many good things about me

(, Wed 31 Mar 2010, 11:22, Reply)
soft
strokey, kissable, caressable and generally awesome to the senses

(and breasts obviously)
(, Wed 31 Mar 2010, 11:04, Reply)
awesome to the senses
that sums it up nicely.

get a good one, and they are nice to look at and touch, nice smelling, pleasant sounding and taste good....
(, Wed 31 Mar 2010, 11:06, Reply)
I did
stop gloating git features!
(, Wed 31 Mar 2010, 11:08, Reply)
Randomness
The way they think about something, then start talking to you about it and laugh at your confusion.

Quite endearing, bless their little cotton socks.
(, Wed 31 Mar 2010, 11:04, Reply)
I'm not random
I have Linear Thought Disruption Syndrome
(, Wed 31 Mar 2010, 11:06, Reply)

I dislike all people equally, regardless of their gender

(, Wed 31 Mar 2010, 11:39, Reply)
Perhaps it's just my department
But I have found, when introduced to a group of people I haven't previously met, that it's generally easier to strike up conversation with the women than with the men.
(, Wed 31 Mar 2010, 11:42, Reply)
I like it when they get drunk with me
And stay up to dawn watching crap movies, smoking, and talking shite. But to be fair I like it when anyone does that with me.
(, Wed 31 Mar 2010, 11:46, Reply)
Less to bury.

(, Wed 31 Mar 2010, 11:49, Reply)
