Karma I guess.
I have also woken up with a smoker's cough. WTF.
Last night the cat was doing this weird sneezy thing. It made me think there might be a wasp about, but I couldn't find the Tox or the Raid. I hide them about the place then forget where they are.
I need to MTFU as I'm out for 'lunch' today and out for 'dinner' tonight, and these are Good Things.
Why are you feeling odd?

I shall piece together last night's details as the day unfolds, I suspect.

How odd.
I find a rolled up newspaper works as an efficient waspicide.
And it's nice and sunny up here. The sunset was particularly nice last night too, as the sky was free of contrails, had lots of dust to make it red, and the moon, Venus and Mercury were lined up nicely.

And I have no aim. The wasp would totally have me...

I'm really called Gary, and I'm skilled with a police truncheon.

We're both busy for the next 21 days.
I'm not counting or anything.

rough.
Well once I was counting down from around 570 days so that knocks your paltry three weeks into a cocked hat m'dear

He's a nubile young blonde girl called Michelle. He gets on very well with Gary!

I tried to take photos but they didn't turn out too well.
Wasps are pretty slow, as flying insects go. Wait until it's buzzing around a window, then flatten it with the newspaper.

we're like 500x their size and being stung by a wasp doesn't even hurt that much

love it. Makes me sound like a character in Battle Royale

I would have been the fat kid who panics within the first four minutes and accidentally crossbows the nearest person

It just means there's one fewer wasp to get worried about.
Jam attracts wasps. Dead wasps don't.

they're just trying to be goody goody and stop kids from killing wasps. And if they encouraged it, some kids would be stung and tell their mums that "Newsround told me to do it", then the BBC would be in trouble.
Wasp stings are a bit painful, but not that bad. I've been stung a few times. The worst one was by a queen wasp, on my big toe!

is very true.
I remember sitting in a beer garden outside a Cambridge pub many years ago, trapping wasps. We had four of them buzzing angrily under empty pint glasses when we left. A tad unfair on the bar staff, to be honest!
(, Fri 16 Apr 2010, 8:57, Reply)
when I was young and silly. I wouldn't do that now.
Unless I was perhaps in a pub in Liverpool where Gary the barmaid was afraid of wasps... :-)

I couldn't sleep because it was too hot in my room last night. I stopped looking at the clock at 4:45.
I feel like a fucking zombie today.

This entire thing is made harder by the fact I'm trying to give up caffeine. Not fun.
(, Fri 16 Apr 2010, 8:46, Reply)
It was the energy drinks that I was having that were causing problems.
I figured it'd be easier to just cut it out completely.

My mum is going away for three months to live in Tenerife with my sister. This means I have to help look after my dad, grandad and the dogs. I suspect there will be chaos.

and I must admit I don't feel up to much today. Thankfully work is completely dead so I can get away with reading my book all day.
