Insert a passage of text that you've written from your blog, here, unfinished novel, dissertation etc... and it tells you whose style you most resemble.
I got Stephen King and Anne Rice.

yep I have no idea either? Stephen King is pretty cool though. Have you read his Dark Tower series?
EDIT - He wrote Last Of The Mohicans so actually pretty chuffed!!

although it is from a story I wrote trying to sound like HG Wells, so not that good, I suppose

Since I'm an uncreative sort, and do a degree mostly based around problem sheets with no essays
Found this though

Only two of them (Dave!* and Ainadae) had arrived by the time I went back from uni, and the porters are being rubbish about forwarding on mail at the moment. (theres a massive long ranty story to go with this, but I'll spare it)
*which unfortunately didnt work otherwise I'd have "accidentally" put a CD full of speedcore in the cd player in the college gym then left the volume on maximum

The sleeve was handwritten, and the packet would have had a return address in West Yorkshire.

When my mail eventually gets forwarded. Could be a while though.
Worst case, I'll have a load of stuff to listen to in fresher's week when I get back

It's obviously broken (or just reacting to the number of made up words, and the (deliberately) overly posh tone of the bit I fed it)

including Little Brother, which I really liked
He's also the dude who does boingboing

I'm going to go and post some more text through the filter to see if it comes up with the same author or if, as it appears from the other b3tans comments, that it's a bit bollocks.
(, Wed 21 Jul 2010, 23:43, Reply)
Cory Doctorow but also one Chuck Palahniuk, a H. P. Lovecraft, a rather flattering George Orwell and completely insulting Dan Talentless-Twat Brown.
Yep, the filter is balls.

a bunch of people have debunked it.

and that you think she should fuck off and die horribly with a whisk up her arse and a ballgag up her faff?
That's well out of order, TLiC, and it's fighting words, I reckon she's proper going to kick your arse

People hear my accent and assume that my spelling and grammar will be equally appalling, but they're generally not bad at all.
It bugs me that when I say 'aitch' people assume it's because I'm common, and not because I'm saying it correctly.

at the moment I'm picturing you as a silent movie star so you don't speak.

Just very scouse.

I do drag those sounds sometimes, but they're more like a hard 'h' than a pleghmy 'k'.

I like the Welsh bird in the Newport video currently on the popular page of Links. It's a sickness. I also have a friend the same age as me who is literally petrified of clowns. I'm tempted to send him a link to the zombie clown video also on the Links popular page.

EDIT: here's the article about it. WARNING: CONTAINS TERRIFYING CLOWN

I pasted two of my lengther, non-sex-lie qotw answers and was compared to Cory Doctorow and then H.P Lovecraft. Given I don't think I've read anything by either of these people, I don't know how to respond to this revelation.
