gig on Friday was half great, half average.
Wedding on Saturday was most excellent aside from the mortifying bit where my mate's girlfriend (who was incredibly drunk) told my mate's mum that we had decided that she is still the hottest of our friend's mums. While I was there. I felt we all coped very well though. And I still stand by it.
Surf yesterday was incredible, however I seem to have fucked my neck.
How was your weekend?
Not that I'm going to be around to read it today, I'm off to walk along a river in the rain.

We went to see The girl who played with fire last night, then some pasta at Prezzo in Stevanage.
Had a good stroll round Dunstable Downs in the morning. Oh, and some nookie too.
Howdy everybody.

I love that little fuzzbucket. He's always up for a cuddle and always brings me decapitated presents. Except the decapitated presents are what got him into strife, he ate something and couldn't digest it, and now he's lying on a vet's table.

they should only be joyful times. Although if they're shit things they're usually called remembrances so you know it's bad.

in that it was quite mixed. Some excellent bits, such as Dom Howard's excellent pert arse encased in shiny silver material, and some not so great bits, like having a panic attack on the main road at home and being ill.
But really, I can't complain. I would go for a walk myself if the weather were a little better. I'm not emo enough at the moment for walking in the rain.

My sister got upset my walls were so bare, so I'm going to make them look pretty today. So far I've just got a picture of my parents and a horrendous plastic lizard that I love and everyone else hates.

Was brilliant, partly because the stage was absolutely massive, and I nearly blew my amp up from turning it up too loud.
The wedding you were at sounds like one of those brilliantly awkward experiences. Good job on sticking to your convictions though.

Mine wasn't too bad cheers.
Alton Towers on Friday, got to go on every ride I wanted (except for the Log Flume, argh!)
Saturday, spent the day at my mates house, we had a BBQ in the afternoon, then a few films with some drinks in the evening.
Sunday, Chilled out day, didn't really do much at all.
I've also come to a fairly major decision. Over the last few months, it's been a real struggle to afford to pay for my house, due to a useless housemate (who I've kicked out) leaving me in the shit. Now, I can't even afford to pay rent without help, as I'm stuck paying off bank charges from the previous month. I've now applied for housing benefits, so am going to see how much that can help me out. If it can't, I'm going to move out, and move into a house share, a fact that scares the crap out of me.
EDIT: Yes, I'm aware you'll probably view what I've written as crap and boring, but it's something that plays on your mind, when you aren't able to even pay your bills.
(, Mon 6 Sep 2010, 8:59, Reply)
I'm going on Sunday. I went around this time last year and the max we had to queue was half an hour for Rita Queen of Speed, other than that it was pretty much in and out, it was brilliant.
House sharing does sound like a good idea for you, it won't be your responsibility to find a housemate then if people move out. Plus you're only young, housesharing can apparently be lots of fun.
(, Mon 6 Sep 2010, 9:00, Reply)
A 40 minute queue was to be expected. Last time we went, we walked onto Nemesis 4 times in a row, it was awesome! Just something to expect, if you do go on Thirteen, it's likely to break down, or stop for a few minutes. Will work after, and they'll probably give you another go on it though.
I think I'm just nervous about the house share, because I'm so used to being in charge, if you get what I mean? Plus, the lack of parties will depress me :-(
(, Mon 6 Sep 2010, 9:05, Reply)
I lived alone since I was 18. I had a flatmate for a brief period but he was such a colossal douche that I threw him out after only a couple of months. Maybe look for housemates who are nurses or security guards something so they're always out at night.
You can have parties in a house share, as long as you find cool housemates.

I was lucky I suppose, my brothers all liked theme parks, so I never had a choice whether I was going on rides or not. Certainly stopped me ever being afraid of them, so I do feel for anyone who is!

I like the Waterworld ones. I just really hate ones where you're on a track in a little cart and you're high in the sky and there's nothing between you and the ground but air and the track the cart is on!

Night shifts Friday - Sunday but now that I'm done I've booked next shift off so I'm not back in for 18 whole days.
I'm off to Amsterdam on Thursday till the 15th, supposedly to visit the International Broadcasting Convention but mainly as an excuse to see old colleagues and drink far too much.
Edit:
I've just opened a beer and it feels somehow wrong to be drinking in the morning even though I've been up for 18 hours and it's my evening if you see what I mean.

No daughter this weekend so I distracted myself from this misery by blasting my mind into space and my liver into the lowest depths of hell. I'm not proud of this and feel distinctly odd this morning, but I did have a dear old friend over, we went for a pizza and then hit the funghi with gusto; at the time it was hugely enjoyable but the return to reality has been very much with a bump.

I thought you might have had a toot on the dimitri as you were peaking on the shrooms. I tried that with salvia and the headrush seemed to last for about an hour. Totally blown in the stratosphere. Unfortunately my friend greedily puffed ALL of the first bowl of salvia to himself, as opposed to sharing it like I suggested. He quickly crumbled in on himself and lay in a foetal position, speaking in tongues.
