Crow wants a lunch thread
I need to go get lunch today.
Probably from Tescos. Any suggestions?

Monty: Munch bunch and blue riband and a little sandwich cut in to four
TGB: ha ha ha you're so funny monty. What you doing this weekend?

Alt Q: There's a lot of good stuff on TV tonight isn't there! Anyone been watching that 71 degrees north thing?

There is an asian place near me that does great nasi goreng. Tempted to go there or to my club for lunch where they do terrific burgers.

I don't even own a telly.
Well there's one in the flat but I haven't hooked it up yet, and before you ask, no broadband isn't up either so I can't watch it on iPlayer. Keep up.
(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 12:33, Reply)
Not having a telly is a liberation.

(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 12:34, Reply)
I don't know what to have today.
I am in range of the Banger Bros van at Euston but I worry it will turn me into a lolfatty. Likewise the Cornish Pasty Co. And I need to get cigarettes anyway so I might just get a sandwich from Sainsbury's or something. What do you think?
(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 12:34, Reply)
Try the steak & stilton pasty they do - nom.

Fuck that
go to Ed's Diner and get yourself a peanut butter milkshake. I love those things.
(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 12:39, Reply)
oh yes
ed's diner is gross for food but brilliant for milkshakes. i like the malted chocolate one - it is like pureed maltesers. of course it is also enough calories for a small country for an entire year.
(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 12:40, Reply)
Big Bubba is passable
But I won't go anywhere else but Byron for burgers now.

Also, CALORIE CONTENT? Are you mad?
(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 12:42, Reply)
There's a milkshake bar nearby
where you can choose any two chocolate bars and have them made into a milkshake. I haven't tried yet but I reckon a Malteser one would be good, as would a Dime bar one.
(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 12:45, Reply)

and some Pepsi Max.

Alt Q: I haven't watched any TV in ages, apart from a rewatch of some of The Wire and a bit of Supernatural.
(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 13:14, Reply)
I love it when people talk about The Wire. I feel I am no longer to introduce the subject to the room.
What series you watching?
(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 13:17, Reply)
I'm rewatching season three
since I definitely missed bits of it first time round
(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 13:20, Reply)
Ah City Hall season. My 2nd favourite I think. I think I am ready for a rewatch from start to end now.

Now have a Krispy Kreme to eat, I love office birthdays.

The texture is just a bit too weird for my liking.

Krispy Kreme donuts are fookin awesome though.

Martin Freeman was fantastic as Watson. I think he is shit usually so was very impressed. They have
confirmed a new series which is good. And of Luther.
(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 13:43, Reply)
Oddly enough
I thought Freeman was totally the wrong choice. I actually liked the Watson from Guy Ritchie's version more, they seemed to have regressed him to being a bit of an idiot again.

Apart from that though I really enjoyed it
(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 13:46, Reply)
Jude Law? I didn't love the film so can't agree there.
Freeman was understated and subtle and complimented Bandersnatch or whatever his name is perfectly. Plus he was the only good thing in the shitty filler chinese episode.
(, Tue 14 Sep 2010, 13:49, Reply)
Benedict Cumberbatch, best actors name ever.

being an idiot

Ooh, do you know of a site that's got it?
They took it down off iplayer before I'd finished, and a half arsed googling didn't find anywhere streaming it. Sad times.
