i think i can blame my parents for most of the things i hide on my ipod that would make people like monty leave the pub immediately if they ever flicked through it.
secret music shame: my first ever gig was a steps concert. i got taken by a friend. she also bought me a massive wavy sparkly wand thing and it died the minute they came on stage so i was basically just waving around a big stick.
edit - we just bought tickets for bon jovi 2011 at hard rock calling, does that count???

Having said that I have a weakness for Status Quo too...

There's a 2 record LP of 12 Gold Bars in the charity shop I volunteer in that I've got my eye on...
(, Thu 28 Oct 2010, 15:30, Reply)
they have some good stuff in there. I keep on buying LPs.
Now I've just got to get a record player...
(, Thu 28 Oct 2010, 15:36, Reply)
and his collection of vinyl from the 70s.
(, Thu 28 Oct 2010, 15:37, Reply)
have an old stand alone record player from the 20s, and a load of old vinyl - think the earliest on is a blues record from about 1924. Problem is the needles on that are teh wrong kind for newer (as in about post 1945) records, apparently. So you're kind of limited in teh repetoire of what can be played.

With some Joe Cocker and Chris Rea thrown in for good measure.

And Norwegian Wood by the Beatles were for a long time the only two records allowed to be played in our house.

As at the previous gig the lead singer had stagedived into the crowd without actually checking how many people were in the crowd. If it's about 50, the end result tends to be you hitting a concrete floor from about 8 feet up, and he broke his shoulder.
The lead singer was called Jizzy Pearl, curiously.

and the organisers got it wrong and had way too much time left over. the foo fighters played for about an hour as a result.
they were good, but there's bands i'd much much rather see.
