This is a question Twattery

Nigella Pussycat says: Tell us about utter twats doing remarkably twatty things. Or have you ever done something really twattish to a friend, loved one or pet? In summary: Twats

People
who use the suffix 'Gate' when there is anything slightly political with the tiniest homeopathic wiff of scandal.

It made fucking sense with 'Watergate' because it was THE NAME OF THE FUCKING OFFICES YOU DULLARD CUNTS.

Yes.
Yes - all of this.

See also: the suffix "-oholic" when someone is addicted to something.

IT'S CALLED ALCOHOLIC BECAUSE ITS AN ADDICTION TO ALCOHOL.

I thought it was the name of the Hotel,
Still - anyone who says that can get to fuck, twice.
(, Wed 18 Apr 2012, 18:33, closed)
oh no, it's Ihatewatergate gate

(, Wed 18 Apr 2012, 19:17, closed)
Or gategate.

(, Wed 18 Apr 2012, 22:35, closed)

I don't worry about it.

I was got my coat caught in the side entrance to that place when I used to deliver stuff to kitchens.
I kicked off and the whole episode became known as watergategategate.

I imagine that when you find out that this story is complete bullshit the controversy will be labelled under 'watergategategategate.'

I invited the Palindrome Appreciation Society to round the other week to discuss a scandal about electronic tagging. They said they'd turn up at one time, then turned up at a completely different one. The entire party was ruined.

Still, I'm sure we'll get over ETagateETAgate eventually.

I once kicked up a fuss about an entrance getting jammed up by a microcrystalline variety of silica, chiefly chalcedony, characterised by its fineness of grain and brightness of colour.
It was dubbed "agategategate".

I think this new, redesigned Popeye is too complicated

Hahahahahahahaha! This is one of the most awesome conversations on B3ta ever!
And that conclusion is nothing short of marvellous.
(, Thu 19 Apr 2012, 11:13, closed)
Enough of this horrid bullying.

(, Thu 19 Apr 2012, 11:20, closed)
Good point
I am. Now left wondering if some bastard waste of space tabloid hack has ever responded to a hosepipe ban with the headline "watergate"
(, Wed 18 Apr 2012, 22:22, closed)

Surely Flakegate, sachsgate, nipplegate, strippergate, bibgate, sirengate, toiletgate, and chaingate are acceptable though.
(, Wed 18 Apr 2012, 22:23, closed)

That and "perfect storm". If any journalists are reading this, 99.99999% of people reading your article (from my statistically-valid-for-a-press-release sample size of one) see that phrase and immediately make the assumption the author is a complete twatbasket. The kind of creativity impoverished catchphrase spewing idiot who probably serves up cake at a dinner party by announcing it as "the perfect storm of eggs, flour, sugar and a nearby oven."

(Note: it's a dinner party with NO-ONE ELSE THERE. Thanks to the perfect storm of the host being a complete twatbasket and... well, no, just that.)
(, Wed 18 Apr 2012, 22:24, closed)
what about 'pissflapgate'

(, Wed 18 Apr 2012, 22:48, closed)
What the fuck
do I now call that entrance to our garden that we came thru whilst arguing about the recent election having been shopping for some of those essential oil thingies for her?

If the media had waxed more lyrical about all the journalists tailing Princess Di on that fateful day we'd probably have had Tailgate.
(, Thu 19 Apr 2012, 8:41, closed)
Don't get the sepos
started on Tailgate parties.
(, Thu 19 Apr 2012, 8:54, closed)
Watergate?
I thought that was a homeopathic scandal.
