Barack Obama
Yeah, yeah, I know he's not that bad, but he's been so much more of a disappointment than anyone else this year. Especially with this don't ask, don't tell shite in the last few days. He had the nerve to post on facebook earlier "We did it!". Oh, really? Did we, Obama? So Gitmo is closed, the US got healthcare reform and people generally shit rainbows now, do they?
No. Bad president. Stop sounding so pleased with yourself.

Yessir. Pat yourself on the back for finally coming through on something you promised us years ago, and hope we forget about all of those other promises. Not to mention the complete crap that you've turned our economy into.

Note to Americans
You elected your own version of our Tony Blair.
Think of that when our version of Barry O' Bummer is doing his lecture tours

It's not so much who we voted for
But who we voted against. To be honest, I had a hell of a time deciding which one I hated the least. It's a bit sad that I even had to make that decision.

Blaming the economic situation on Obama shows just how retarded you are.
He hasn't had time to fuck it up - it was that dribbling idiot that was there for 8 years before him. I suspect you voted for that filthy oil baron too, you human failure.

In his first six months in office, Obama spent more money than Dubya did his entire eight years.
That REALLY did not help the economy.
Look at Reagan and the homeless situation. We're still working to clean that mess up. And his attitude toward it just made it worse.
2 years is plenty of time to fuck things up.

I thought he did get healthcare reform through?
It's all very confusing though; we've got it easy with the NHS - we pay NI, we get healthcare. Don't know how insurance companies have ended up with such a big stake in the US

A good hard invasion might do the trick
The NHS was born out of the ashes of the Blitzkrieg.
...or at least roughly the same time...

Yeah, but the plans had to be watered down to get through congress
And he took some political damage from critics in the process.
I'd also like to add that Obama ended "Don't Ask Don't Tell" the other day, so he hasn't been a complete disappointment.

You all seem to be under the impression that the president has the power to create laws and policy in the US.
That's the job of the house of representatives and the senate. The president and the white house are the executive that implements the laws passed by the two houses.

The Healthcare reform was only a slight improvement.
The yanks refused to go any further though because despite communism being dead for 20 years, they are still shit scared of it. So anything that even hints of socialism is viewed as the work of the devil.

Exactly
Anything that hints at socialism, or anything that requires the least tax increase is the work of the devil himself. People bitch and moan about how we should have things the way they are in Europe for certain things, particularly health care and uni. Then when the time comes to vote for it, people get scared shitless that the red menace is coming for us, since *surprise* things like national healthcare programs cost money.
Also, if you actually thought Obama could follow through on any of his promises without fail, you're an idiot. As has been mentioned, Obama has no power himself to effect changes as he promised. Just like every presidential candidate for the past several decades, he's made promises he couldn't keep. For whatever reason, you lot lapped it up, again.

Criticise him if you want
But no one can deny that he's fucking light years ahead of Bush, and that America would be way worse if McCain had won instead.
That being said, he hasn't turned out to be as great as everyone hoped, but I think that's because he's limited by how much an American president can do, despite all of his initial idealism. It's not so much him that's at massive fault, but the system (man).

ooh some sense from QOTW?
The biggest problem was that he was put up on some holy high pedestal before he even got in. The only way from such a place is down.
Now we just have to hope that Palin never gets in. She makes Bush look like a genius.

I'd say this one's an improvement, so let's be thankful for small mercies, eh?

As Edenmonster said up there ^^^
It's not your president's fault if those pesky houses get in the way of him being fuhrer, and sit on the head of his idealism and fart.
Lets take an example - your proposed health reforms. Proposal: Everyone pays a little bit towards the health of the whole country. Everyone in the country gets free health care, unless they want to pay for their own for some reason.
It costs individuals less than current insurance, it covers everyone. The only losers would be the insurance companies and advertisers (ie, all those propped up by a medical insurance business which would now be tiny)
You wouldn't think it would be that easy to argue against this fantastic bit of legislation - the idea of everyone helping each other out just a little bit making the country so much easier...people walk in off the street ill, get fixed, leave. All the paperwork I imagine the hospitals have to go through for the claims gets cut...things just become _better_. But your politicians somehow managed to argue against it, didn't they? Well done them.
Obama's fault? He's probably got his head in his hands, wondering why he volunteered to lead these twunts.

Problem is
If he didn't realise it before, he definately does now, the President doesn't run the country, he is just a figure head for the people that do.

The prob wasn't/isn't Obama
As much as people who thought all problems would be magically solved by his election. Compare his first term to Clinton's (who most would agree was a successful presdident) - he's got repeal of DADT and healthcare, unlike Bill C. The economy is far worse, but that's hardly Obama's fault. All in all, I can't see much to criticise him for.
