This quick-reply function is useless to me unless I want to reply to a message at the top of the board,
as FF now refreshes to the top instead of my last post - so when I click 'reply', it opens the reply box but sends me straight to the top.

Does anyone know how to make FF refresh to my last post?

*awaits shower of abuse*

Don't use Firefox; it's poo.
Use Opera or IE7 (not 6).

That's the first time I've heard someone recommend IE over firefox.

(, Thu 16 Mar 2006, 15:36, archived)
I used to love Firefox until I discovered Opera and then Microsoft released IE7.
That showed me what a steaming pile of wank Firefox is.

Aaaah but if you get Greasemonkey and much around with Javascript a bit
it can be your steaming pile of wank. Yay open-source!
/hasn't tried this yet, but will

But IE7 doesn't have adblock and all of the other extensions that make FF so great

(, Thu 16 Mar 2006, 15:45, archived)
maybe not
but it does have adshield (link to last freeware version) and admuncher.

But you LIKE poo!

I was just beginning to
become irritated by the same thing. Does that make us slow, dithering idiots who can't keep up? Or are we the caring solemn types who continue to give people their attention until they've got bored and scampered off to find more exciting friends?

is that reese witherspoon?

so...
you have quickreply enabled, and as soon as you click 'Reply' it scrolls to the top of the page without you doing anything else? EDIT: or do you mean when you click 'post this message'?
(, Thu 16 Mar 2006, 15:33, archived)
Yee-up.
I could get round this by *gasp* turning QR off, but it seems like a useful feature. Or would, if my browser was behaving itself.
(, Thu 16 Mar 2006, 15:34, archived)
'post this message' should scroll to the top
but just clicking 'Reply' shouldn't do that on it's own. Very odd.
(, Thu 16 Mar 2006, 15:40, archived)
I don't think it's all that useful.
It's not like you're ever reading and writing at the same time.
Certainly nifty and aesthetically great for people who prefer it, but not useful.
In my humble opinion. Didn't mean to be nasty to the coders!

no problem
there's a reason it's an option...
(, Thu 16 Mar 2006, 15:49, archived)
new profile option
turn on 'navkeys' and 'highlight posts' then Alt+/ will jump to the post you just made. (Just made as in "it's highlighted in red.")

untested in safari.

Ctrl + /
works just dandy with Safari.
I can't take all this excitement

top stuff, thank you.

(, Thu 16 Mar 2006, 15:53, archived)
Seems alright in Safari
but what happened to the little 'X' to close the quick reply box?
(, Thu 16 Mar 2006, 15:35, archived)
it looked messy
just click the 'Reply' button again to close the box.
(, Thu 16 Mar 2006, 15:36, archived)
Wahey!
very clever!

Thanks

It works fine for me in FF

I think all the browsers refresh to the top of the page now
as far as Im aware, its not changable.

*edit* Ignore that, I didnt read your post properly, and still have no idea how to fix your problem.

Poosocks.
