Remaking movies.
Having just watched the 1977 Shatner-fest 'Kingdom of the Spiders' via youtube, I reckon it's one of the few Movies (albeit a B movie) that really deserves a modern remake.
Given that there's always a vocal backlash against Hollywood remaking old flicks, are there any other movies you'd actually like to see remade today?
and if you haven't seen KotS, check it out - 70's cheesey horror, 5000+ live tarantulas being beaten up by Shatner and a cracking ending - what's not to love?

I went to see Star Trek yesterday
I'd rate it as good. Though it did have a Star Wars feel to it in a few places

and Chekov appeared to be played by that Meerkat from the Car Insurance ads.

Maybe he was using acting.

(, Sun 10 May 2009, 18:14, archived)
Maybe he has more than one nationality.
Or an accent foreign to his nationality. Or an American accent when he speaks English.

Who is he anyway?
(, Sun 10 May 2009, 18:16, archived)
I don't know.
Who are you?
What are you implying?

I'm Chinese and speak Afrikaans with a French accent.

I'm still amazed that anyone finds that difficult.

but I'd still like to see it.
(, Sun 10 May 2009, 17:50, archived)
Haven't the Star Trek films already done a silly time travel thing?

(, Sun 10 May 2009, 17:58, archived)
Yeah, they did that next year.

(, Sun 10 May 2009, 17:59, archived)

Pretty much the exact plot (from what I gather) is cliche #5 on this list that's as old as the hills. So possibly.
(, Sun 10 May 2009, 18:02, archived)
Yeah,
umpteen times. It's like they're deliberately set out to overdo every single cheesy cliche.
(, Sun 10 May 2009, 17:59, archived)
I loathe cheesy seventies horror.
But I'd like to see a remake of Triumph of the Will, starring Declan Ganley.

I'd like the internet to know that I am going out for my tea in a minute.
I'd like to see the Taboo series remade, perhaps with Kay Parker playing a bit part as a nod to their history, the part being her cunt of course.

I reckon Peter Jackson would do a great remake of Moby Dick.
Actually, Moby Dick's great as it is, it's just the shoddy whale at the end that lets it down. It's just a piece of wood. It's crap.

lets start it here anyway
I reckon CGI skeletons would look shitter than the claymation ones
(, Sun 10 May 2009, 18:17, archived)
There's no way claymation skellingtons would have been able to knock down the twin towers.
There's a video on youtube, why don't all you sheeple open your minds.

Someone should make a film of Shogun
