What is the official opinion on Cronaldo going to Real?

(, Thu 11 Jun 2009, 16:06, archived)
I'm actually surprised
but with a healthy dose of "Meh". You can buy a fuck of a lot of talent with £80m. But it interesting to see SAF back down on his policy of never selling a player he wants to keep.

They'll do well to win the league next season, though. Period of transition I think. And since Liverpool will be playing down the local park in second-hand kit next season, could be your year. Unfortunately.
(, Thu 11 Jun 2009, 16:11, archived)
Interesting to see who you'll replace him with. Not sure Valencia's your man, and I'm hoping RIbery doesn't join you, but that is looking unlikely.
Depends on how Ancelotti does for us and who we sign, but I was pleased by this Ronaldo news!
(, Thu 11 Jun 2009, 16:14, archived)
Fuck Ribery. Bayern want £65M for him
You can't pay that much for a man who looks like he's been set on fire and put out with a shovel. No matter how good at football he is.

Still - If they buy Ribery and keep Tevez - Ribery, Tevez and Rooney? ugliest strike force in world football? all the need is Ronaldinho.
(, Thu 11 Jun 2009, 16:20, archived)
Some quicker than others.
I want to fucking hit something, internets.
(, Thu 11 Jun 2009, 16:03, archived)
In the booty call sense or the beating off sense?

(, Thu 11 Jun 2009, 16:04, archived)
In the 'cause as much damage as possible and THEN start biting' sense.

Yep, swine flu pandemic :D
I know somebody who's got it (as does half the UK now) but they're not that ill at all.

(, Thu 11 Jun 2009, 16:04, archived)
I'm guessing that wasn't Descartes.

(, Thu 11 Jun 2009, 16:07, archived)
Well, statistically, not from swine flu we're not
"28,000 cases globally and 141 deaths"

giving it a fatality rate of 0.5%. "normal" flu is 2-3%. So H1N1 is actually 4 times less dangerous than "normal" winter flu. Of which we have at least one pandemic every year, usually 2 or 3.
(, Thu 11 Jun 2009, 16:06, archived)
You'll eat those words when you are dying of DEADLY SWINE FLU
DEADLY
(, Thu 11 Jun 2009, 16:07, archived)
yeah.
or I might just eat some more pig.
(, Thu 11 Jun 2009, 16:11, archived)
Stop bringing facts into this!

(, Thu 11 Jun 2009, 16:07, archived)
Well this is it. The clue's in the name, it's 'flu. It's not ebola.
People die of common 'flu all the time, and no-one's panicking about that.
(, Thu 11 Jun 2009, 16:12, archived)
Also, a healthy dose of beating
to anyone else who goes "ah, yeah, but Spanish Flu, that killed loads and loads, it could be like that"

except 99+% of the victims of Spanish Flu didn't die of flu. It's only a minor point.
