Anyone else think Ebay are bastards for forcing you to offer free P&P on games & DVDs?
It means you would have to add postage costs to the start price of the item meaning Ebay will get more commission.
Fuckers.

I honestly don't care
I hope this helps you in your future endeavours.

AM I TOO LATE TO SEE THE PB STAND-UP?

Yes
it's gone
(, Wed 24 Jun 2009, 17:13, archived)
Awwww

(, Wed 24 Jun 2009, 17:14, archived)
FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK
I FUCKING MISSED IT FUCK FUCK FUCK
I'm never doing other things ever a fucking gain.
(, Wed 24 Jun 2009, 17:15, archived)
i haven't watched it yet but i still have it open and loaded so i can watch it as soon as my colleague fucks off

(, Wed 24 Jun 2009, 17:16, archived)
please have one of those youtube savey things.

(, Wed 24 Jun 2009, 17:17, archived)
i'm at work, so i don't

(, Wed 24 Jun 2009, 17:21, archived)
film it on your phone or something.
this is important.
(, Wed 24 Jun 2009, 17:22, archived)
how can I see it?

(, Wed 24 Jun 2009, 17:19, archived)
You ask me, nicely.

(, Wed 24 Jun 2009, 17:22, archived)
May I see the video which is the talk of the town, please?
I feel like the little kid not allowed to watch the grown-up film.
(, Wed 24 Jun 2009, 17:28, archived)
Depends on how masochistic I'm feeling.
I'll give it some thought.
(, Wed 24 Jun 2009, 17:30, archived)
Two kinds of people Balders- the quick and the fat.

(, Wed 24 Jun 2009, 17:16, archived)
Fat people can be quick.
When they are all greased up on burgers and sliding uncontrollably down a slope.
(, Wed 24 Jun 2009, 17:23, archived)
Gravity assisted fatties?
Hmmm, this might be worthy of further research.
(, Wed 24 Jun 2009, 17:28, archived)
i bid on one item on ebay and lost even tho my bid was higher, never again will i use that online jumble sale

(, Wed 24 Jun 2009, 17:09, archived)
maybe it failed to meet a reserve price
like in a real auction house?
(, Wed 24 Jun 2009, 17:09, archived)
dunno what happened, but i was gutted, still i'm sure they will tour next year

(, Wed 24 Jun 2009, 17:11, archived)
I might consider it if I was guaranteed to get the item by meeting the reserve price
but the fact that anyone can sign up as a seller, well, I just don't trust where my money is going to go.
(, Wed 24 Jun 2009, 17:10, archived)
Why not? It doesn't make a difference where your money goes or what they do with your money.
It is a fair business exchange from two consenting adults. Whats the problem?
(, Wed 24 Jun 2009, 17:12, archived)
I mean it's too easy to scam money out of people

(, Wed 24 Jun 2009, 17:12, archived)
oh right, fair enough. Just buy from 'repuatable' sellers- if they've sold a lot and have a high rating, its not a problem.
My friend does ebay selling full time (even owns a shop for it), everything she sells is legit and she makes a wedge from it. All above board and all that.
(, Wed 24 Jun 2009, 17:15, archived)
plus, paypal are pretty decent at refunding your money if you get ripped off.

(, Wed 24 Jun 2009, 17:15, archived)
i know what you mean, it's amazing what sort of criminal types have access to the internet these days

(, Wed 24 Jun 2009, 17:12, archived)
Some of them even wear trainers.

(, Wed 24 Jun 2009, 17:14, archived)
I wouldn't mind, but everyone knows someone who has been fleeced on ebay

(, Wed 24 Jun 2009, 17:15, archived)
i'm not sure how you can be 'fleeced' if you read the listing and pay by paypal

(, Wed 24 Jun 2009, 17:16, archived)
I put my Download Fest ticket up for sale the other week and got charged £20 for the whole listing fee.
Are these massive charges new? I swear I only used to have to pay a small listing fee when I was selling a few years back.
(, Wed 24 Jun 2009, 17:09, archived)
Could be final value fee.
Did it actually sell?
(, Wed 24 Jun 2009, 17:13, archived)
Yeah, it did.
Looks like they took 10% plus the listing fee. I just remember selling a camera on there a couple of years back and only had to pay the few quid for the listing.

Paypals commision does my head in as well.
(, Wed 24 Jun 2009, 17:15, archived)
Also stops people puuting stupid amounts for postage.
I personally have never, ever charged for postage on DVDs and because of that I've always sold my DVDs and got a fair price for them.

Well done eBay
(, Wed 24 Jun 2009, 17:10, archived)
I can understand some people take the pee - but it is not free to post games or dvds

(, Wed 24 Jun 2009, 17:12, archived)
it costs 61p for the stamp, perhaps up to 20p for the packaging

(, Wed 24 Jun 2009, 17:14, archived)
Recorded delivery for a game is about £1.70, so if the game sells for 99p you should be expected to make a loss?
Doesn't make sense to me.
(, Wed 24 Jun 2009, 17:16, archived)
recorded delivery? on an item worth 99p? what
edit: it's only £1.36 or £1.22 for second class
(, Wed 24 Jun 2009, 17:17, archived)
So you propose sending it not recorded so I can get some twat telling me he didn't recieve it?
Righto...
(, Wed 24 Jun 2009, 17:20, archived)
Well of course it wouldn't, seeing as you're clearly an idiot.

(, Wed 24 Jun 2009, 17:18, archived)
Or, you could stop trying to fleece people for extra cash without paying commision.
Five quid P&P on a DVD?

Piss off.
(, Wed 24 Jun 2009, 17:10, archived)
Thiisssss.

(, Wed 24 Jun 2009, 17:15, archived)
No one is forcing anyone to bid, if I saw an auction and the p&p took the piss I'd just avoid
I'm annoyed cos I just wanna shift some old games, I wanna charge the right amount for p&p - I didn't expect to have to foot the bill to post them!

Just means I'm better off giving them to a charity shop than trying to make a couple of quid off Ebay.
(, Wed 24 Jun 2009, 17:19, archived)
i think your over developed sense of entitlement is showing

(, Wed 24 Jun 2009, 17:20, archived)
Frankly my dear I don't give a fuck

(, Wed 24 Jun 2009, 17:11, archived)
yeah, it's just awful how they're trying to run a profitable business etc

(, Wed 24 Jun 2009, 17:11, archived)
pfft, haha.

(, Wed 24 Jun 2009, 17:16, archived)
You should do a stand-up routine about this

(, Wed 24 Jun 2009, 17:12, archived)
No, I think it's awesome
because I can now buy cheapo 360 games for even cheaper. Hurrahs all round!

(or possibly not because people will still probably pay what they would have paid before anyway, if they'd taken the postage into account)
(, Wed 24 Jun 2009, 17:16, archived)
